Arrived at the store, they seemed very busy and again was told to expect repair to take 2-3 days. I stated that I was already informed and that I just needed it to be done within a six day window (another mistake on my part, giving them too much time to make the repair). They assured me that it would be no problem. My six day deadline came and went and when I contacted them I was told that the person that does the repair was out sick, but he was coming in today and could complete the repair in three hours. A Christmas miracle, the one person that could do the repair was coming in after being out sick (evidently for the last six days) and lo and behold, he completed the repairs in two hours! When I arrived to pick up my item I asked how long the person who did the repair was out sick and was told a couple of days. ?? So what happened during the other four days you had my device?? They were backed up and didn't get to it. He was still sick, but he knew he had to come and get my device fixed. (Bravo for your commitment to duty, now step back and put a mask on cause I don't need your sick). I said just admit that they forgot about it. They argued that they were just really busy. I really didn’t trust the teenagers who changed my oil, so I wanted a second opinion. Not only did Batteries Plus, test my battery, they confirmed that it should be replaced before the weather turned cold, but it wasn’t a dire situation.
Knowing the battery was the original battery and 4plus years old, I agreed it would need to be replaced before winter. I’ve always been a name brand guy, and wanted a Interstate Battery. We discussed auto batteries, and I learned there are basically only 3 manufacturers in the country.
After doing some research, and receiving a quote of over $450 for a Interstate Battery and installation, I returned to Batteries Plus-Woodbury for a new battery.
