Occurence 9/12/2025 around 7:30-8:00pm at 1653 Weir Dr, Pizza Hut.
I am not surprised by these one star reviews this location is getting. I should be checking up on reviews of places I visit often because my recent experience was not it. I really believe they need to shut down this location. If you can't hire competent staff there is no reason in keeping this pizza location open. You're embarrassing Pizza Hut as a whole company. Corporate Pizza Hut needs to look into who you guys are hiring and why.
I placed an order for 2 pizzas, breadsticks and pasta at 7:17pm. My confirmation said my order would be ready by 7:32pm. I waited in the parking lot until that time, came in, and stated I was here for a pick up. The two employees at the front checked and told me "It's still in the oven". I said, "ok, thanks" and proceeded to wait in the lobby. 3-4 more customers come in, and they get their pickup orders and some wait and still get their pickup orders before me. It's been 10-15 minutes of me waiting and the two employees at the front have already had a long conversation about which high schools they go to and their life stories and circle of friends. A family comes in and they help them.
What was ridiculous was that the two employees were helping put an order in for a small family TOGETHER! It had already been 10-15 minutes of waiting in the lobby. And I walked up to the register just to check in on the status of my order (knowing well many other customers came in and received their orders). Neither of the front employees even check in with me because what I learned later when I called the manager is they're both NEW. I've worked at a pizza joint before, WHY WOULD YOU PUT TWO NEW PEOPLE AT THE FRONT???? These two young employees had NO SOCIAL SKILLS, NO COMMON SENSE and NO CONSISTENCY ACROSS CUSTOMERS.
When I was at the front register the female employee left to go to the back because she didn't know how to enter the family's order and the male employee looked at the screen pretending to "problem solve" while not acknowledging me as I waited. He'd known I had been waiting in the lobby for some time, and not taking the time to address or check on my ordered was just lack of common sense and poor customer service. I had to get his attention and asked about the status of my order and it was just there, sitting and waiting. I grabbed my order and didn't say a word. Again, no social skills from these young employees such as "I apologize for the wait" or "thank you for your patience". There was nothing. I am flabbergasted by the lack of onboarding and training and the lack of social skills.
I walked out of the restaurant with that being my last time. I will put my money, time and energy into pizza places that care, are consistent and courteous of their paying customers.
The manager was courteous over the phone, BUT where was the courtesy for customers when putting TWO NEW EMPLOYEES AT THE FRONT DURING A BUSY DINNER RUSH. Either train them better, hire more qualified employees, or pair them with someone more...
Read moreThis place is like a ghost town! A person can see so much potential. We understand times have changed. But we believe that there are still tens of Millions of us baby boomers and younger who want to go out and have a good time having dinner as we did in the past. I know that our kids do. Pizza Hut was a place where we went with friends and family and then when we had our own children brought them there for fun and food. It was always an exciting place to go to. Music and games and good pizza. But this Pizza Hut and the one in Hudson are void of life. You know, it would not take much to fill these large Pizza Hut's up with people. First of all, turn on some good music that everybody loves from the 70s, 80s and 90's. Then put some excitement in there. Add a couple video arcade games and even a pinball machine. At least turn on the TVs or turn on some good music. Do some fun decorating. Make it a fun place for families to go to at night. A fun place for friends to hang out together. If the place is hopping with excitement and busyness, then maybe we can keep people off their phones. Start interacting like real humans once again. And please do not blame the desolation of these places on the virus. I went to my local Pizza Hut for 40 years until they closed up. I tried giving them and corporate advice for years. It's like nobody wants to listen to what the customer wants. We knew our Pizza Hut telephone number by heart. First, they stopped employees from answering the telephone. Then they routed us to an 800 number where people could not even understand our English. And there was no redress to any problems or special requests with our food. Then they forced us onto the internet and it was a nightmare and so time-consuming and the website never worked well and we had to stop ordering Pizza Hut all together. Then after 40-some years, are Pizza Hut, like many others just closed down. Advertising works! Please, we do not need another app! Get flyers in everyone's mailbox and have events and excitement that will draw people in. Advertised as the funnest place in town to go to for a night out. This is ridiculous, everybody holding up in their house and ordering food on their telephone being delivered by somebody when it's pretty much cold already. And then paying exorbitant prices to have it delivered. I'm sure that young people are getting accustomed to this type of Lifestyle. That's where they have been steered into doing and living that way. But the majority of people that are older would like it to go back the way it was. We are ready to spend money....
Read moreAs former regular customers of "The Hut", with our past experience, we had reduced our visits. It has been some time since our last visit here so we decided to try again. Ordered a big dinner box w/pasta. We also added the buffalo chicken melt. Placed our order at 7:30pm. Received confirmation the order would be ready at 8:08. We got to the store & it was crowded. We were patient. The 8:08 ready time was updated on the on-site electronic notification board to 8:09. At the 8:20 mark, 50 minutes after we had ordered, we thought we better inquire about our order. The person assigned to manage the front of house was very much undertrained. It was difficult for him to find orders on the computer. Once he found our order, he went to the kitchen & came back to report they were waiting on the wings. WE DIDN'T ORDER WINGS!! He went back & updated the kitchen that we ordered the pasta with the big dinner box. He came back stating they are working on it now. 15 minutes later we checked again and he already forgot who we were?? He went to the kitchen & came back to say they are waiting on the pasta. Waiting? At 8:40 we decided we wanted a refund. The kid had to get the manager. The manager came out to process a refund & we decided to try one last time and explained that if he could come out with the food now, we will take it. He did & we were out the door at 8:45. This was 75 minutes after ordering and 37 minutes after we were originally told it would be ready. Once we arrived home, we discovered the pizza was lukewarm at best. Obviously, this was a bad experience. We don’t like to put blame on the workers. They were doing what they thought was best. Rather, this is on Management. They have failed terribly. We...
