I have had a lot of hard things happen throughout my life with my teeth. Dr Horton offers services that were promising to help. I invested a lot of time and built trust with their team. We set up our plan, had the date on the calendar to begin treatment, and I was so excited to take my next steps toward my health. I have attached my "before picture" from the office I got a call randomly from them and they canceled my entire plan. I asked multiple questions of why which were responded to without an explanation I understood, and I was thanked multiple times and given unrelated compliments. The office returned the fee that I had paid, though I asked them not to. I was not ready to move on, and did not get the chance to get my questions answered. My negative dental struggles have been made worse by this experience. Dr Horton's office is beautiful and her work is gorgeous. She is an incredibly competent orthodontist who knows what she is doing and can provide incredible services. If there is a miscommunication, as the patient, especially if it is a more complicated or adult case, in my experience, there is no discussion. There is respect and there is a follow-up conversation, however you will likely not feel understood or have a say. It is a tough dynamic as a client, as it feels imbalanced. I want to be treated as a competent individual who can have conversation back and forth. Having a plan in place and then having it canceled without warning or understandable explanation is...
Read moreSuper unsatisfied with my experience. I got my lower retainer removed and two retainers made and it was an overall unpleasant experience. I paid $700 for a couple retainers and it was like pulling teeth to get it done in the 1st place.
Everyone I worked with from the front desk folks to the assistants to Dr Horton were very standoffish and rude. I felt like they didn't want to answer my questions, and they were very weird about doing the service on me and made it seem like they were doing me a favor when it was time to have it done.
I was 3 minutes late and I called to tell the people that and they put me on hold to see if "they could still fit me in" Then they said it was fine and rushed me off the phone and was just overall super disrespectful. Nobody explained anything to me nor did they take the time to try and explain the things they were doing or charging me for. The invoice they provided me with was extremely vague and It was way more expensive than I was quoted even though I provided my own panoramic xray.
I had my braces done by Dr Montgomery who Dr Horton purchased his practice when he retired. Was told by my dentist to return to where I had them done and wish I would have done a bit of work to find a place where...
Read moreI am 72 years old. My dentist asked me if I had ever considered orthodontics. I was not really happy with how my teeth looked but I felt I was too old and I was not sure I wanted the inconvenience and I am not fond of pain. But I began to notice the teeth of people my age and how crooked teeth really did age a person. So I discussed it with Dr. Horton. She explained to me that our teeth are not stationary and as we age our teeth move from years of use. I made the decision to go ahead after Dr. Horton explained the process to me. What most impressed me was that she really listened to me and to what I wanted done. Dr Horton is a perfectionist when it comes to straightening teeth but she did not give me the perfect plan that she would given me if I had been 20 years old. Rather, she gave me the perfect plan for me now. The whole process was so much easier than I expected and very little pain! I am thrilled with the results and how much younger my straightened teeth...
