I’ve lived at Woodbury Park at City Centre since September 2019, and things took a major turn for the worse when Two Coast Living took over in September 2024. The new owners are slumlords — plain and simple — and completely money-hungry.
Since their takeover:
They redid the leasing office twice, but the inside of our units — where people actually live — still need major repairs.
They raised rent by 10% or more, with no upgrades to justify the cost.
New renters are being charged to use the gym, something that used to be included.
Want new appliances? That’ll be $50 extra each month — even though appliances are breaking down across units.
They added a $25 snow plowing fee, even though we live in townhomes and it was always included before.
Trash bills jumped from $16 to $36 without any explanation.
They stopped sending monthly water bills, which makes it impossible to track if we’re being charged for water used outside — our previous management always sent bills monthly.
Maintenance requests go unanswered because "they don’t have the staff."
New tenants are being told to use washer/dryers from other units because theirs don’t work.
Some people have holes in their ceilings, and mold is growing in garages and even inside homes.
The worst part? Two Coast Living has over 970 complaints on the Better Business Bureau — just look it up.
The staff in the leasing office are nice and try their best, but clearly, they’re just doing what corporate tells them. This isn’t how tenants should be treated — we pay too much to be ignored, overcharged, and left in unsafe living conditions.
If you’re considering moving here — think twice. And if you already live here, document everything, connect with your neighbors,
Thank you for your reply, but your message did not address several of the specific concerns I raised. While I appreciate mention of the new fitness center, renovations, and the hiring of a lead technician, most of the issues affecting residents’ day-to-day living remain unanswered.
For clarity, I am again outlining the concerns that need direct responses:
Rent Increases Without Unit Improvements – Rent was raised by 10% or more with no repairs or upgrades to the interiors of many units.
Snow Plowing Fee – $25 monthly fee now charged for snow removal, which was always included previously. Please explain why this change was made.
Trash Bill Increase – Trash service jumped from $16 to $36/month without notice or explanation.
Water Bill Transparency – Monthly water bills are no longer sent. This prevents residents from verifying if we are paying for outside water usage.
Appliance Repairs vs. Paid “Upgrades” – Appliances that are broken should be repaired or replaced at no cost, not marketed as an “optional upgrade” at $50/month.
Gym Fee for New Tenants – New tenants are being charged $50/month to use the gym, which was always included in rent before.
Shared Appliances – New tenants being told to use washer/dryers from other units is unacceptable. What is being done to resolve this?
Mold & Structural Issues – Mold growth in garages and inside units, as well as holes in ceilings, are health and safety hazards. What is the timeline for remediation?
Lack of Safe Outdoor Space for Children – There is no playground or safe bike-riding area for the many children living here. The game room provided is only suitable for older kids. Meanwhile, the leasing office has been remodeled twice and the grounds redone twice — yet no investment has been made in basic amenities for families.
Better Business Bureau Record – There are over 970 BBB complaints about Two Coast Living. How is management addressing this pattern of resident dissatisfaction?
Residents are not looking for general statements or market-standard explanations — we are requesting specific actions, timelines, and transparency for each of these items.
Please provide a detailed, point-by-point response so residents can understand how and when these concerns will...
Read moreRENTERS BEWARE!! Starting from the beginning, when inquiring about one of these townhomes I asked for pictures of the exact townhome we would be renting. They sent me pictures and it all looked good, so I went ahead and signed the lease papers. When I arrived at the townhome the carpets were clearly very dried out and it had looked like they were bleached. Right then and there I knew the pictures that were sent to me were NOT the townhome that was rented to me. There were rips and holes throughout the carpet and when the carpet repair gentlemen began repairing one of the large holes there was a large wet area and when he put the hot iron on the carpet to seal it, it began to smell of PEE. I took the chunk of carpet into the housing office due to the smell pee. Lisa the manager of the complex was very rude, condescending, and very unapologetic about the situation. She denied the status of the condition of the carpet the whole time I was trying to talk to her about it and what could be done. After a lengthy and incredibly rude discussion I was able to get the carpets and linoleum replaced. We had several issues while staying at the townhome from several of the windows leaking, holes in the ceiling (supposedly can’t be fixed), popcorn ceiling falling down in the bathroom, water leaks coming from the ceiling from a leaky pipe (supposedly can’t be fixed) and much more. According to our lease contract you need to put in your vacate notice 60 days out from your contract ending. We had planned on staying at these townhomes so we wouldn’t have to deal with moving. Well, 2 weeks prior to 30 days out from our lease ending we get this note shoved in our front door stating our rent was going to increase significantly! When my husband went down to the office to discuss this bad landlord practice by not hand delivering nor giving us this note prior to when we were supposed to put in our vacate notice Lisa was AGAIN very rude, condescending, arrogant, and very unapologetic about the situation. Come to find out she is advertising the same exact townhome as ours for significantly cheaper than what we were paying, but she was going to raise our rent?! After a lengthy and nasty (on her part) discussion she agreed to allow us to put in a 30 day notice to vacate. Lisa is NOT a landlord she is a business woman (according to her) that gets away with the bare minimum and does not care to keep her current renters. She would rather have old tenants move out and have new tenants move in. This place is also not child friendly (no playground, no backyards, and no yard at all). This place is more about the animals (dogs). The grass area they do have is full of dog poop so you can’t let your children play on it unless you want them playing in dog doodoo. Again RENTERS BEWARE!! This place is NOT luxury! They WILL raise your rent at the end of...
Read moreRent Up. Quality Down There is a sign out front upon entering these townhomes that reads “Woodbury Park at City Center Luxury Townhomes” The word “luxury” should definitely be removed. The lack of help and quality service received from the office is astounding, especially for the price of rent. You would also think that with the percentage of rent increases each year that the pool would be available in the summer. It is consistently closed for “repairs” The reason it is consistently closed is because they attempt to do quick fixes instead of just investing the money needed to do a full on repair. Also, trying to dodge dog feces on the property is like trying to dodge land mines! It is everywhere and the most the office does is send out emails containing idle threats to the entire community. There are also many aggressive dogs on the property. My neighbor’s dog has been attacked multiple times by dogs here. Lastly, the townhomes are poorly built and lack upgrades that justify the amount in rent increases each year. There are no stainless steel appliances, the carpet is outdated and the walls are incredibly thin - you can hear everything from the tv and music next door to when they sneeze and flush the toilet. It is insane! If you live in a middle unit and love peace and quiet, just know that you will know no peace. For the amount you will pay in rent here, would recommend just purchasing a home or if you need to rent would strongly recommend Carver Lake Townhomes over these or renting a single family home.
Response to your reply: Hello, This is not the first you are hearing of these issues and if it is, it is because you are a new manager per the email the residents received last week. There is also documentation showing the office waited a week and a half to respond when the dog attack was reported. I also contacted the office many times regarding the noise and nothing was done. One of the office employees even recommended to...
