Soccer Post — Local services in Woodinville

This review is more expressing disappointment with a return attempt than it is on the store (very clean) or staff (very knowledgeable).

I decided to go into a physical store versus an online purchase because I was concerned about the fit of cleats versus regular athletic shoes. I had read (maybe too many) articles on how a boot was to fit and opinions were all over the place. And with so many different material's now, you just don't know.

Trying on in the store just walking around, the cleats seemed to fit so that was the pair I went with. Later that day I wore them on inside turf and kicked the ball around with my daughter for maybe 20 mins. I felt pressure on a toe and I knew they were too small so I stopped immediately...partly because it was uncomfortable but partly so I DIDN'T mess them up. I emailed them that night and they said to bring them in and I'd be taken care of.

Went in today to exchange (less than 24 hours after purchase) and was immediately told they couldn't take them back or do anything because I had worn them. Not even a conversation in anyway to help out. I had worn them and they couldn't resell so that was that.

When I asked how would someone know without wearing them/using them, he told me that they have an area to kick around in just for that purpose but that was never offered to me as I was trying them out. Disappointing because I had read in a previous review that a customer literally broke a cleat while playing and was offered a gift card for a replacement shoe. Mine were on for 20 minutes on indoor turf and now I'm research how to stretch out synthetic leather so I can't figure out how to use them comfortably.

Again, staff and store was great, just maybe a little more upfront or transparent with shoe return policy. And offer the "try out" area every time so at least it would have been on me if I proceeded with...

The customer service is amazing. Ivan went above and beyond in helping me even when it became clear it was no longer an issue with the store. I purchased a pair of Adidas Predator cleats in May. The sole started separating from the shoe. I came in to see if soccer post would replace them. Since it was about 90 days since the purchase they were unable to. However, Ivan pointed me towards the Adidas corp warranty information, spent considerable time finding my original purchase in the system so I could document to Adidas the purchase. I really appreciated how Ivan did everything in his power to help at the store and then went above and beyond to help me deal with Adidas directly. I am now a loyal customer...

Ivan, a manager at the Woodinville Soccer Post is amazing. We walked in early on a Saturday when it wasn’t very busy. My daughter has an incredibly narrow foot and he was helping us find a shoe that would fit. Wouldn’t you know it was the last of what felt like 100 different cleats. He kept a great upbeat attitude and was able to help others as they came in . In the end we had to order the cleat online and he showed us how to do it through Soccer Post. By the time we left, the store was crowded with families coming in after their matches and he greeted everyone as they came in the door and made sure everyone was being helped. He’s a gem and we will definitely be back! ...
