After five long years of dealing with a poorly built and incorrectly serviced computer from Daniel, I feel compelled to share my disastrous experience. My gaming PC, for which I paid $3000 plus, was fundamentally flawed from the start. The "RTX 2800 plus" graphics card was crippled by an inadequate 550W power supply, despite the RTX Plus requiring 625W. This mismatch, obvious to any competent builder, directly caused the "landing issues" I experienced while gaming – the very purpose of this expensive machine.
I brought the computer back to Daniel twice for these persistent problems. The first time, he tweaked some code, only for the issue to resurface three months later. The second time, he did nothing, yet still charged me. Adding insult to injury, when I went to pick it up the second time, a pipe had burst above his shop, and my computer was missing upon arrival. It took 45 minutes to retrieve it from an off-site location; he hadn't notified me of any of this. If I hadn't seen the damage, I likely wouldn't have known. Even with water damage evident, he insisted on immediate payment via a shady money transfer app or cash. This level of unprofessionalism is staggering.
Despite my repeated attempts to get the core issue resolved, Daniel consistently dismissed my concerns, even after I sent video evidence of the problems. He simply suggested a third visit, which I understandably refused. Seeking a second opinion, I took my PC to a highly-rated local specialist. The diagnosis was immediate and damning: I had been ripped off. The specialist quoted $1200 for the same build and identified the undersized power supply as the primary culprit. He also found it absurd that Daniel hadn't even bothered to reattach my fan covers during the previous "repairs." For less than Daniel's diagnostic fee, this competent technician fixed the build and installed the correct power supply.
Beyond the incompetence and overcharging, my biggest grievance is Daniel's lack of thoroughness and his dismissive attitude. He never ensured the computer was actually fixed before returning it. It's unbelievable that someone claiming to be a computer builder would install such fundamentally mismatched components, demonstrating a shocking lack of basic research that ultimately cost me time, money, and immense frustration. I wouldn't trust him to touch my computer again.
The issues didn't stop there. My $3000 "gaming" rig lacked basic features like CD/DVD drive drivers (not the drive itself, but the software to even use an external one), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It was the most barebones setup imaginable for the price. Furthermore, Daniel's in-store demeanor was consistently unwelcoming and unprofessional. He always made me feel like an inconvenience. His shop was a chaotic mess of boxes and parts, creating a literal maze with nowhere for customers to sit. While I understand businesses can outgrow their spaces, this disorganization shouldn't impact the customer experience.
For years, I hesitated to post this review due to Daniel's initially poor treatment. He acted like my questions and concerns were a burden. Even asking about the repair status felt like pulling teeth. It never improved.
Daniel should not be dealing with customers. His cold demeanor, combined with his dishonest practices and overcharging, make this unequivocally the worst computer store I can possibly recommend. I fully expect him to retaliate with defensive and accusatory comments, but I stand by my experience. I sought help from a reputable specialist with 15 years of experience – not some amateur – who confirmed the ridiculousness of Daniel's work and pricing. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else. Daniel needs a serious overhaul of his customer service and product thoroughness. I think the fact he has so many 1 star reviews,...
Read moreSo I feel the need to share this review. From the start.. I was scrolling through Facebook one day and I guess from where I had been looking at laptops on Google, the search triggered this company's page to pop up. I was curious and entertained the idea to see what this "finance a computer with no credit" was all about.
I started chatting with someone over messenger about what kind of build I had in mind and also what my budget was. Originally my budget was around $1,000. Not knowing and very new to PC gaming.. I saw that a $1,000 wasn't gonna get me far for what I wanted to do.
The person I talked to.. her name is Laura, she was super helpful and very patient in all of my questions. I was directed to fill out a financial loan application cause I was curious to see what I would get approved for.. so I did. Everything was so smooth and pleasant to the point I was extremely skeptical. I had never received customer service like this.. keep in mind this is a 4am conversation that is going on.
Laura helped me create a build that was going to benefit and taylor to exactly what I was going to be doing on the pc.. (which is gaming and streaming)... all while fitting into a friendly budget.
After an hour or so of me trying to decide to go through with it or back out last minute, Laura was able to assure me that this was a legit company. So I pulled the trigger and decided to go for it.. and boy am I happy I did!
Throughout the whole process of build time (10 days) and shipping time (4 days), Laura was able to answer questions I had during this waiting time. A big part of me was wanting to stay in communication not only because I was excited, but also the fact I didn't know much about this company and if I'm being 100% honest, I was still skeptical and a part of me believed it was all a scam.
Fast forward to today.. not only did I receive my custom pc, but I also received my gaming monitor, mouse and keyboard.. and the pc was packed with Love! Very well packaged. I am a living testimony for this company because this pc is everything they said it would be. I highly recommend and if anyone is skeptical, reach out to me for the proof. Thank you so much Cincy Computers! Forgive me for not believing!
This PC is incredible!! Works perfectly with no flaws.. and might I add,...
Read moreI’ve been in this store and purchased two different computers at a very high price. The owner cut me a little deal since I was a return customer. That’s about the only thing he did right though. My fiancée and I walked in three weeks ago to get our first computer to not only look at the owner and stand there for about 5 minutes but he didn’t even acknowledge us, he just told us to sit down. Waited around for about 20 minutes before we saw him again. Terrible customer service. We then we’re getting ready to leave and he refused to put the pc in the box he just handed it to me. I insisted it be in a box or we weren’t going to purchase so he then grabbed a box for me. My second time going to the shop today 2-9-21 My friend wanted a pc, the only reason we went to him again was because I knew we could get a solid computer today rather than order one and wait as my friend was impatient. Never the less we walked in, no one is even there for about 10 minutes then some worker of the owners comes out and says that he’d be back in 15 minutes so we waited for about a half hour before we even got to our computer buying process. We got everything going and read to make the purchase so we could leave the establishment and the owner then gets a phone call, and it’s not a 2 minutes phone call I’m talking like 20-25 minutes of him just talking to someone. He was in the back office so I couldn’t hear exactly what he was saying but the second he got back to the front I told him we were in a rush. He then just looked at me and said ok give me your 1000 bucks so you can go. Like what kind of service is that. Then once again the owner does not put the pc in the box and makes us walk outside holding it with around 8 inches of snow on the ground. Before actually walking through the door tho the owner asked about my review I had left on his page a year ago and asked to remove it since he felt as if he did something worthy of getting it removed. It was just all and all a terrible experience and I don’t suggest buying from him. With every bad rating he receives he comes on here to protest what that person said. All of this that I have just written out was 110% true and I have my friend...
