Dollar Tree — Local services in Woodlawn

went in to exchange a Halloween solar lantern because I got it home and it did not work. They said I needed the receipt which I did not keep so I said that's fine I will buy another one I just need someone to open the box that they are in that is on the floor in the Halloween isle. They refused saying they already took inventory of it and with it being so close to Halloween they won't recount it. It's Oct 30. They were rude about it completely unhelpful and when I called other dollar trees asking if they had the lantern and explained my situation they said that it's their policy that they have to sell it if it's out and they were just being lazy. When I first got there me and other waited ten minutes for staff to come up the register and when I had to hunt her down and ask her assist me she already had an attitude. Lady with pink hair and she got her supervisor. This place is the worst. All the isles are messy with product is wrong places, employees are rude and very unhelpful except for this younger black guy who helped me out and rang me up a few days ago who was getting yelled at by a customer. I work in the service industry I know how bad people can get and was patient with them. When you to call customer service you just get an answering machine. They need to burn this store down and transfer that nice man with...

Very poor customer service the manager Sam was very rude and ghetto. This store was a nasty hot mess. There was boxes trash everywhere. Upon standing in the line it was so long it formed a L it was only 1 cashier. Until she called for help after arguing with the customers about not knowing she had a line. Sam rung my items up for some reason there machine reader would not accept my card I ran to the car to get cash she rung someone else in the midst. When she got done with that customer she said I would have to wait till she ran up the other ppl in the line. She said everything would have to be rerun after we stood in line for 15 minutes. I told her just to forget and her customer service and energy was terrible. She said good don’t come back and this was the manager!! They were restocking so the isles were packed with boxes and the cashier doesn't say "hi" or "have a nice day". I don't mind no chit chat bc I'm not social but politeness is always good when in customer service. I don't go to this one often bc of that and it's always like they are restocking when I go, can't move around easy. When one half of the whole isle is blocked, in almost each row by boxes I'm sure sales are lost. Plus the isles are smaller.
