Recently I was hit with self reflective moments that has threw all hope out the window as I was self destructing myself into absolute chaotic mental abuse and I was on very low inspiration. I used the last amount of "change" and "energy" looking and searching through the internet just to be left with very dry replies or just an explosive amount of overwhelmingness from their advertisements. "WELL, IF YOU HAVE THIS AND THIS AND THAT OR SO THIS, THEN ONLY THESE PROGRAMS ARE BEST FITTED FOR YOU." And not very much on, "if you are struggling in this or time gets tough and we are here to lend a hand so what do you think about this? Well, lets try what we can if something is not workable or fitted." Well that's exactly what energy Terra gave me. The call was supposed to last 20 min long but she stayed on the phone to LISTEN and COMFORT me. It's not an easy subject. It's me at my most vulnerable moment in life and she gave me that hope, that void, the first piece that I felt like I have lost in a very meandering road. She sent me free guides and information on the little things, but those little things will be a massive contribution to the changes I need to focus on. I didn't ask, she offered. Update 4/24/24 - We met once again with Justin Pitcock and Ray Brown for our annual catch-up. I told my husband that I wasn’t looking forward to this meeting and was only going because it was the right thing to do. But when we left I had to tell him that I was very happy we had gone to this meeting. We were concerned about what the market may have done to our accounts in recent years and how this was affecting our long term plan but we left feeling encouraged about our retirement and comfortable with the path we were on. Justin and Ray walked us through our plan step by step updating any possible future expenses. And we were happy to see that we would still have a good amount of money to leave our children and our grandchildren. Goodwin Investment Advisory is top notch and we are so grateful that we found them. These guys operate with integrity and we have the utmost respect for them. Once again we left feeling more like family than clients. We met with Tim, Justin and Ashlyn and were very grateful for the amount of time and attention that they gave us. Goodwin has been fantastic! I had been managing our investments myself for many years, but felt I needed some advisory assistance now that I was reaching the age where distributions would begin.
