As a bride, the only think I regret was getting our suits here. An absolute nightmare. I’ve been the third bride in my Family in the past year, this was our 5 wedding in the past two years and we have never had an issue like this before. They honestly care once they have your money. 2/7 of the suits arrived alright. All the others had incorrect pieces, it was too big or too small. I would like to add that no one’s weight fluctuated except one groomsmen who lost almost 25 pounds since his fitting and even then, his suit was too small. The week before the wedding I kept trying to get in touch with anyone from little river co when on October 9th. It got to the point where my MIL physically went down there because no one would answer their phones when her husband’s suit didn’t fit. The best man’s suit didn’t arrive until the 14th… we were leaving the 17th for the wedding. By some miracle, the best man had no issue. But the guarantee that it’s 7-10 business days before the day of the wedding is a load of bull. I was more stressed about the suits than my actual ceremony. For any bride getting married, go somewhere else.
Now on the issue of return… there is such poor communication where no one there is on the same page. If we were made aware of their ACTUAL policy, we would have given the suits to my MIL to return. But instead we were told to mail them in 3 business days after event (Sunday wedding). Apparently their policy had changed since the last time we rented which is fine but considering we were told to mail them back in June by a sales associate who no longer works there (honestly I see why) it’s hard to understand when and where to send them. One of the groomsmen went to the store and no one was there and had to go searching around the buildings to see where anyone was at. The lady (not saying it for her privacy) said she would be contacting the groomsmen after our last phone call around 11:00 am yesterday. It is now almost 9 am the next day and she never reached out.
I contacted Jim’s directly and was given a shipping label to send the suits directly. Jim’s customer service took 4 minutes to fix the problem with no issue. We did not mind returning the suits when they needed to be but being told 3 different things then refusing to answer is ridiculous.
When I expressed that it was off putting how stressful it was renting from them because we were days away from leaving and things were still not fitting, the argument was “well everyone got what they needed.” Yes they did. But the stress of having to track them down to order it, that only 2 suits out of 7 fit and some said screw it and wore their own pants because it was getting down to the last minute did not justify the stress everyone went through. So congratulations, you did you job after several failed attempts. And it was not just 1 or 2 things that didn’t fit as the lady tried to defend. The groom and father of the bride had 4 pieces that didn’t fit. Shirts, pants, jackets, vests literally the whole ensemble did. not. fit.
In their defense out of 19 calls made just from me yesterday one...
Read moreMy husband was told by men's warehouse that he would not fit rental sizes and that we needed to most likely get him a custom suit. We are very limited with options for this with where we live. A friend who was renting a suit recommended LRCC. In the beginning everything seemed great. We went in August to get him measured and place his custom tux order (wedding date: 1/20/24). We went back in November with the groomsmen to get their rentals ordered. We had been calling and asking before then what the update was for the custom tux between August and November. In hindsight it seems like our custom tux order was forgotten until that moment in November and logically, this is the only thing that makes sense. Months go by, we do not receive any sort of update unless we are calling to ask and many occasions those calls resulted in them telling us they will call us back to update us when they know anything. Wedding week has come and still no update. My husband was there the day before our wedding and THE MORNING OF OUR WEDDING. The tux was not the color we wanted. It was a darker charcoal gray. We ordered a lighter grey to match the groomsmen. Not only that but the vest did not arrive to LRCC until the morning of our wedding. My husband called me when I was getting my makeup done and said he felt like he was wearing a corset because it was so tight. Brian asked if we could give him two more hours to "fix" the problem. We didn't have that kind of time. Paying over $700 for a tux, you would think that you would have some better customer service. Brian apologized, but never admitted what actually happened. Not only was the vest tight, but so was the tux. My husband is not a guy that fluctuates in weight easily so this should not have been an issue. He was pretty uncomfortable our entire wedding day. What's even worse is that he wanted to order a custom one to have for other special events because he's never had a suit or tux of his own. He can't even wear this because it's so uncomfortable. The worst part about all of this is that Brian made it seem like this process was streamlined and never had any issues. We found out AFTER the fact that almost the same exact thing happened to a friend of ours. The only positive thing I have to say in this review is that the rentals went fine. Do not order a custom tux or suit...
Read moreEDIT: We finally received my husband’s custom suit, and the quality is excellent. It turned out exactly how he designed it, and I’m very happy with the craftsmanship.
The frustrating part was the process. We ordered in December for a March wedding, but the suit didn’t arrive until September. For the wedding day, he was given a stand-in suit, but it wasn’t the right color and fit too tightly, so it really wasn’t a true substitute. After the wedding, there was no communication or update on whether the actual suit was even coming. It wasn’t until I went into the store and pushed for answers that the suit arrived a week later.
I do recommend their work because the finished product is great, but I would caution anyone ordering for a special occasion to allow far more time than you think you’ll need. The waiting and lack of communication made the experience stressful, even though the suit itself is fantastic.
If I could give zero stars, I would.
We ordered a custom suit from Brian at Little River Clothing in December 2024 as a gift from my mother-in-law for my husband’s wedding. It is now August 2025, and we still have not received the suit we paid for.
What we did get was a completely different (and clearly not custom) green suit that looked nothing like the one we picked out. My husband had to wear this imposter suit for our wedding in March, and the tailoring was so tight he could barely move in it. No adjustments, no apologies… just a poorly fitted, last-minute swap.
Brian claimed the substitute suit was “more expensive” than our original order, as if that justified anything. That wasn’t the point! We didn’t want a random suit; we wanted the custom suit we ordered and paid for, but at that point we had no choice because he needed a suit for our wedding.
At this point, it’s been over eight months, and we still haven’t received the custom suit.
I suspect they deleted my first review because I can’t find it anywhere. Based on other reviews I’ve now seen, we’re not the only ones who’ve had this experience. This feels like a scam. A polished one, but still a scam. Do not trust this business with your time, your money, or...
