Park at City Center might not be the largest green space on offer in and around Woodstock, however it is still a pleasant space for a picnic in the sun. Its mature trees provide plenty of shade if the sunshine gets too hot, and a polygon bandstand provides an extra shady space. A central fountain provides added interest. There is also a war memorial, and 9/11 memorial displaying track from the World Trade Center’s subway station. The park’s lower section provides a space for the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheatre, known for its summer concert series.

We love the newest addition to the Downtown Woodstock center. The park with cute gazebo has been a mainstay, but the event amphitheater is great for summer concerts. Go early for parking.

The shops in this plaza were closed the day I visited, however, I will go back to try the various small businesses that are in that area.

Wow. Gorgeous place. We saw it on a Sunday morning🌅, but could only imagine this lovely park and concert/performance venue during an event. There were lots of places to set a portable chair and to spread a picnic blanket out for kids. Great wheelchair access too! There is a gazebo, railings, grassy spots, and formed stone seating rows if you didn't bring a chair. They would have gotten 5 stars from me, but we were unable to find public restrooms! 😕 We were waiting to shop at the local stores and had to leave before they opened because we couldn't find anything. In fact, if there WERE open pubic restrooms in beautiful Woodstock, WE...

We moved to Woodstock for the small town feel that's right down the road from the big city. Woodstock City Park is a good example of how that works out in every-day life. Family events, concerts, things to do with my young children are always going on here, and my girls love to come here and spend the day with mom and dad. And... mom and dad feel safe and comfortable to bring...
