One star for extremely rude staff. We grabbed ice cream next door, and visited this shop. There were no "no food allowed" signs on the door (but there was a "no pets" sign, **this is important for later) so we entered and asked a staff member (a young woman) if it was okay that we had ice cream. She responded "I'm not sure, but I'm the only one here, so it's fine." A few minutes of shopping later a man approaches us and says "You can finish those outside". No "I'm sorry" no "excuse me" no "we don't allow food inside", instead we get a passive aggressive "get out". We apologized, and as we are leaving a woman was walking in the door with a big dog - in direct defiance to the No Pets sign, I should add - and says only "you can finish those at the table right there". Presumably she was an employee/owner. We just felt so unappreciated and rejected by their collective attitudes that this review was necessary.
Please treat your customers with more respect, if you have a No Food policy, please put a sign on the door or at the very least train your staff to have the answers when asked directly. When you are in a business funded by sidewalk passers and seasonal tourists, a little customer appreciation...
Read moreBuyer Beware! As a local, year-round resident, I don't mind tourist traps that are loaded with silly stuff. What I do mind is that Sunburst Trading Import does not post their return policy. I tried to return an item that I purchased as a gift, less than two weeks later, and due to not having my receipt, could not even get a store credit.
Now, they have broken no laws, apparently. We have gone to the police and now will give them a review to warn others. I am considering small claims court next. Went back there twice and was given the run around. This is another reason why many folks are making their purchases on the Internet and in big-box stores that have refund policies.
Just want to warn folks that without a receipt, you are stuck. I had no receipt, but showed them the bank statement with their name on the transaction from my debit card! This they did not dispute. The latest excuse was that without the owner being there, they cannot enter the "code" to put it back into inventory.
There should be a big sign saying all sales final, or at lease something on the receipt. Needless to say, no more business for them from me...
Read moreDon’t bother coming here. We’re on vacation, come to this store after eating. The place looks nice lots of different things, me and my friends checked out the rings, the upstairs and bought a few things. We’re at the check out and accuse of us stealing 2 rings. I personally did not even TOUCH the rings, my friend touched one, saw the condition it was in (which was poor), and didn’t want to buy it so she put it back. The supposed manager(?) said we stole the 2 rings and our parents assured them they looked at our pockets and found nothing. How blind can you be? They have cameras, can they not look at them? It’s not right to accuse people of stealing based on how they look when there was a guy there holding many items, which most likely contained the 2 rings they accused us of stealing. I also have heart problems and them doing this made my heart rate skyrocket making my chest hurt and make me shake really bad. This place obviously has no morals, I wouldn’t bother coming here, maybe they’ll accuse you too!...
