75 degrees and sunny in mid-September calls for lunch outside! Pemi has a big outside patio that overlooks Main Street. Exactly what we wanted. First greeted by the host, she graciously seated us with a view of the action on Main Street. Our server came over promptly and was attentive without being overbearing. What we got: - Lobster roll ($29 and comes with fries!) - Bahn Mi sandwich Both sandwiches came with a HEAP of hot and crispy fries. Up here in the mountains, you don’t expect to find lobster rolls, but Pemi’s was outstanding. Good portion of lightly dressed meat and a really good brioche roll. The Bahn Mi isn’t authentic; think pulled pork with a Vietnamese flair. It was great! Pickled carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, topped with micro cilantro, and a delicious sauce. Really a must-get. We were here for a quick lunch, but they also have a HUGE beer menu, all of which is on tap, I believe. Also, they have a $4 PBR! I have to knock a star off because all their plates, cups, and tableware are disposable. It would be 5 stars if they had reusable forks, knives, and dishes.

After a full day of hiking and chasing waterfalls, we were ready to swap trekking poles for cocktail glasses—and Pemi Public House hit the spot. The chilled vibes of Woodstock settle in just right when you’re lounging on their patio, sipping something cold and tasty after a day of exertion. We dove into the GoGo Bites—those deep-fried little nuggets stuffed with jalapeño, roasted corn, bacon, and cream cheese, all drizzled with BBQ sauce. They were dangerously addictive. I’m proud of myself for stopping at just one serving. (Okay, maybe two.) The grilled steak strips were… decent. A bit firmer than I’d prefer; they didn’t quite melt in the way my tired muscles were hoping dinner would. Service was a mixed bag. Not rude, exactly, but I could’ve used a few more smiles and kindness thrown in. Also — please, for the love of the cocktail gods — ditch the plastic cups. A proper cocktail deserves proper glassware. All told: go for the patio, the bites, the relaxed ambiance, and the post-hike chill. Just manage expectations on service and steak tenderness.

For starters the bar tender was unprofessional and determined a permanent resident card was not a valid form of ID. Looked up later and NH state law says it is. This put a sour mood on the whole meal as my husband was unable to order a drink. I had the pub burger which had many problems. The menu stated it was a smash burger so I didn’t specify a cook temperature. The burger I received was definitely NOT a smash burger which would have been fine if it wasnt turned into a brick of charcoal. Half of the fries were burnt as well and had a bitter flavor that made them inedible. Finally the “Boursin” ended up in a big clump on the side of the burger instead of on top. Whoever assembled the burger clearly does not care. Husband had the naan tacos which he also said had dry chicken. The naan itself was too small for the fillings so they were a complete mess to eat. This restaurant is lucky it’s in a tourist town because I doubt they get many return customers. There are plenty of other restaurants in town and I would recommend you give these a try.

I’m only leaving a few stars just because the service I have had there three times. I love Woodstock and always thought this was a cute little place to eat. But I feel the past few times I went there I was always not greeted and stood there waiting to be seated while servers and staff walk right by you without asking would u like a table or has anyone been with you yet? And when I did get seated I was waiting over 10 min for someone to even come over and offer water. While the next table who sat after me is and getting there drinks before me. I was immediately feeling uncomfortable, as I was the only one in the room those few times that looked different than the people around me if you catch my drift. I’m not saying this is the case but it’s how I felt or made to feel by lack of service and not even anyone greeting me. The server did come over eventually and apologized and said they were confused on who had my table. I explained this has happened before so I didn’t find it a coincidence. They did apply a ten percent off on my bill(I didn’t ask for it) for the inconvenience which was very nice of them, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth :/ the food has always been good. Drinks are pretty good too and I like the vibe of the restaurant. I’d like to give it another try and see how the service is but I’m not sure when and if I will! But overall the food has always been good. I head up north quite often and like to frequent restaurants and find one that sticks to I can keep coming back. I always recommend places for others to stay and eat in NH so I wouldn’t leave a review if i didn’t feel it need to be said. This last time I was there was a month ago. The chicken salad was what brought me back! The service just wasn’t that pleasant. I still tipped 20% and left. I hope they can work on customer service and not make a customer feel...

We stopped at the Pemi Pub as a group of 6 during a relay road race. The restaurants in the area were definitely busy. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the patio. The food was decent for everyone, except for the member of our party who has a severe allergy (we're talking hospital) to dairy. After confirming it wasn't the case, her salad came with cheese crumbles on it.

I don't leave a lot of reviews -- honestly, usually only when I have a superior experience or something that really shakes me. We had one of those experiences yesterday with our server, Kylie. Kylie was one of the rudest servers I have ever experienced in my time on this earth. Maybe she was overwhelmed? I am vegetarian and asked if I could get the naan tacos with just veggies instead of soyrizo, and she looked at me as if I had asked her to build a spaceship to Jupiter. The attitude on her face... I decided to just go with a salad to not continue the conversation. She gave us the same response when we asked to split the check. You absolutely do not have to split a check - but her response was so disgusted (I can't think of a better word). She responded with a, "ugh, no.... I can't do that". I'm pretty confident if she didn't have her sunglasses on, we would have seen her eyes roll into the back of her head. We saw her shaking her head at the POS. The owner of this establishment should know that he has someone representing their restaurant like this, and that, if she treats everyone like this, they probably won't return, despite the food and atmosphere...

Here on a sat nite, was crowded and people were waiting. It ia a very small place with a cozy vibe, we sat at the bar. Ordered poutine, which I loved, the gravy was a homey flavor and the fries are hand cut, fresh and delicious. I was so stuffed from the appitizer, I orders cup of soup as my meal, it was a home made chicken noodle and it was satisfying, my husband ordered the burger sliders and they were served on a delicios bread and the burger was fresh and very tasty! Drawbacks we're that the acoustics were bad in there and great music was playing, but it only compounded the loudness and I have to say that although the space was small, there was plenty of room for a host station, instead people would proceed to the bar to check in. Now i do realize we took seats at the bar however, to be sitting and eating and people hover behind you and order drinks over you shoulder while you eat your meal is rather annoying. I think that an alcohol only bar would be a different story, just saying, it bothered me and my husband even more! I do recommend and will go back, but I know not to sit at...
