We were visiting Woodstock, New Hampshire, and were looking for a place to have lunch. As soon as we saw the word “BBQ,” we wasted no time! We loved the place. The staff was so great and friendly, and the vibe was really good. The food was awesome! We loved the brisket, brisket sandwich, brisket burnt ends, and pulled pork sandwich. It was so good that we forgot to take a photo of it while it was whole. The mac and cheese and coleslaw really complemented the BBQ. Onion rings and fries, fried to crispy perfection! We also had to try the jalapeño corn bread. I was skeptical at first because of its name, but it was delicious! Hopefully, when we visit Woodstock again, we will definitely go back. Don’t forget to take home some Twin Barns vanilla coffee blonde beer. One...
Read moreThe food was EXCELLENT!!!!!! The Vegas BBQ sauce was unreal! So so so good. We sat at the bar, in my experience usually sitting at the bar you serve the customer. It’s a weird “approach the computer to order” system. Unfortunately I’d give the service 2stars. We got wings to share, no napkins and no side plates given, we asked for plates & we grabbed napkins ourselves. Then we got a dinner plate, again we had to ask for silverware to eat with and grab our own napkins. The sausage is phenomenal. We asked for the check 3 times. It was weird. I’d 1000% give the food another go. I’d rather tip the kitchen staff for the food and the presentation than tip a server/bartender who pushed a couple buttons on the computer and then suggests a 20% tip by flipping the computer...
Read moreGreat food, great beer, friendly service. I got the brisket burnt ends with mac and cheese, onion rings, and jalapeño corn bread.
The burnt ends were excellent; they were tender slightly chared and didn't need sauce. There are two sauces, I liked the Carolina sauce the best. The onion rings were very good- perfectly cooked with good breading. The corn bread was excellent; not dry, good mild jalapeño flavor without being spicy. While the mac and cheese was good I just didn't have room to have more than a couple of bites.
The beer: I had a flight of 3 IPAs and one lager, and a few sips of the dunkle lager. All the beers were good. The lager was much better than expected. The best IPA was the triple. Of the 5 beers sampled, I liked the dunkle...
