I bought some items today at Ollies. I purchased them as it was an additional 20% off on 12.15.19. However, the discount began at 6:00 pm which was my error. Because of limited stock I was afraid not to purchase the items so I bought them anyway and told the cashier and the manager I would come back at 6 with the items to return them and would repurchase them with the discount. I came back at 6 pm with the items and explained to the cashier that I wanted to return and repurchase the items. The supervisor said I could not do that. I was upset, and asked if I was going to have to return them and go back into the store to rebuy them. She said that I was not allowed to repurchase the same items. I left the store extremely upset and spoke to an Ollies worker outside who could not understand that. So I went back inside and spoke to the manager. He said I could return the items. But that I would have to go back in and find the items all over again. I could not understand this as they were put in front of the store once returned. It is Christmas and I was trying hard to save some money. My chest was so tight. I ran thru the store to repurchase all the items. To add insult to injury, I only got a 15 and not a 20 % discount. I don't appreciate the way I was treated, as I am in there all the time. I won't ever put myself thru that again. It was not worth the chest pain. I can understand why I could not get the discount on a prior purchase. But it was only a few hours earlier and no one said I could not come back and do this. I realize no one cares about one customer. I will never shop...
Read moreThis store has the worst customer service. They were so rude to me and my two young children. Granted my two year old was being obnoxious at a few points of our shopping trip. (I’ve seen and experienced worse before) The cashier thought it was her place to discipline my child when he wasn’t putting her or anyone in the store in danger. He was just whining. Second a toy in the shopping cart had broken, it was very cheap. I said, “this broke” and she said “oh was that what was banging in the whole store” (it was not) In front of everyone in line. So not only were they being rude and mean- but they decided it was okay to embarrass me and my kids. The lady brought the $5 toy to the manager as if this one toy was going to make or break Ollie’s financially. They whispered and moved on- as the cashier should have anyway from the start. This was hands down the meanest employees at a story I have ever encountered in my life. Too bad for them too. Because all day while I was out shopping with my kids- I have $50 to each cashier we had! The target cashier could tell my kids were tired and overwhelmed and he was so sweet and kind. These two women at ollies were bitter and rude. We will NEVER be heading to that...
Read moreIf the job lot and the old bldg 19 had a child , this is it. It's a discount store that's "messy organized". Not as big as the one I went to in Jersey but they crammed a lot in. Some items were much lower than say Walmart or target while others were the same. It's hit and miss with these stores. They recently bought toys from toys r us and I did get a $29- set of talking books for $9.99. The oil of Olay soap I buy is almost 6 at Walmart but I bought it for 2.99 at Ollie's. I also bought a Nora Roberts audio book for $2.99. Some stationary items which are the same as the dollar tree carries are , well not a dollar. FYI: for the love of God please don't buy the rug doctor antibacterial rug spray ( I thought oh this would be nice to have.... no it wasn't lol) . I started to spray my bedroom...... entire bedroom carpet. Omg my room smelled like urine , I loaned my rug shampooer so here I am sponge mopping it off. Too late smelled like that for 3 days. My husband is still...
