I've been going to the Fiber Fest for over a decade. It's such a great show with awesome vendors. There's a core set who come back almost every year and always new ones to discover. I really enjoyed my day and meeting so many people. And so many animals! It's a great day for the family. The crafting community is such a welcoming one. 💚
My favorite is Laughing Cat Fibers but there's so many good vendors that sell yarn, fiber, beautifully crafted wood project boxes, a variety of yarn bowls, etc. There's also livestock and shows on herding with professional dogs. It's great for the whole family. Kids can learn so much. And vendors want to teach and share!! That's a huge part of what I love. Sharing on so many levels while supporting so many small businesses.
Also, thank you to the grounds for keeping nice bathrooms. Seriously. That makes a big...
Read moreThis fiber show is a real gem. It is BIG, and you can find almost anything you might be looking for there. People are friendly and helpful. There are classes, workshops, (register early!) and free activities which are sometimes almost mini-workshops. Good food is available onsite. There are animal shows (sheep, rabbit, sometimes goat), fleece, yarns, feltinging, weaving, spinning, demos and equiptment sales, animal auctions. Alpacas and llamas are often there, and jerding dog demontrations are great fun to watch. There is no charge for admission or parking. What more can you ask? It is a great place for the...
Read moreThis is a great show. I look forward to going every year! They have lots of vendors, and I have bought new and used fiber equipment, a large variety of fibers for spinning and knitting, sheep supplies and some cute novelty items. You never know what you might find. They also offer cool workshops and skein, garment and wool shows- and you can buy show winning fleeces. Last year, they even had a sheep dog demonstrating herding sheep - it was really cool. There are also live animals for the sheep show and angora rabbit shows. Great lamb sandwiches and other...
