Auto zone's expertise is severely declining. The higher in of teenagers who only know how to be cacky of what's on the computer screen but have no knowledge of what they are talking about. Also ever since they put a new teen manager....she has attitude and zero customer service experience. I'm at auto zone often and have 4 cars under their records....so I'm there often... I been having problems with their warranties ( denied) just because the manager doesn't want to bother to search for the receipt....they just tell you you are not on the system or bring your receipt....after proving the receipt I was still denied the warranty under a new loop hole invented by the manager on site. ( 8/25/2023). Auto zone was my first choice for all my vehicles repairs...but they are making me take my business somewhere else do to ignorance and careless atension to customer service. Sadly auto zone is the new start buck's hangout atmosphere. This cacky teens make you do a few trips back to the store because they often give you the wrong parts even if you requested to doble check to avoid problems and delays. Another visit on 1/14/2025 disappointing. First of all their customer service is always horrible...I don't understand the good ratings they post...they most do them themselves...visit this facility on western yourself and see it with your own eyes...it's horrible. I was given the wrong parts for my vehicle as often happens with them but I continue going there because is closed to home and doing business with them for a long time....also the teenager's incompetence of knowledge is exhausting...but they offer plenty of attitude and missguidense. Also the waiting period on lines is ridiculous and worse if you need a managers approval. I keep wanting to walk way from this place but being closed to home is convenient but I'm starting to realized it's NOT worth the headache and O'Reilly in merrionet Park may be...
Read moreSince August 3, 2022 I’ve been patiently waiting for Carmen from the Auto Zone Chicago regional office to call me back in regards to two issues with the 12000 S. Western, Blue Island location. I notified corporate so that I wouldn’t have to make a trip back to this location to get my refund but apparently corporate is too busy to respond. Carmen assured me that she would handle my situation yet there has not been any follow ups. Meanwhile since that time, I’ve called the corporate office twice and I’ve left messages but no one has bothered to call me back.
I was double charged $48.49 (which is ridiculously high considering Walmart sells the same can for $25🤦🏽♀️) for one can of Freon and the store (number 2579) located at 12000 S. Western Ave. Blue Island, Illinois would not allow me to use my tax exemption. I was told that I would have to register it with the corporate office. (The mechanic that I used is in that area so that’s the only reason that I went here because it was convenient). Fast forward to today 8/24/2022 and I’ve waited for 13 minutes before the store manager Frank picked up the call. I told him that it was wrong for a customer to have to hold that long for someone to pick up. He stated that he had a long line of people so I had to wait until they helped everyone in the store since apparently phone calls obviously are not a priority when it comes to customer service. I explained my situation to Frank and he said that he would be leaving work within the hour and that he would let another store manager Liz know to expect me and that she would handle my refund. I don’t shop at Auto Zone unless I absolutely have to for the aforementioned reasons. They up charge on everything and their customer...
Read moreI needed a brake light bulb for the driver's side. All other brake lights were working. The salesperson decided to come outside look at all the brake lights to also determine that it was driver's side bulb that needed to be replaced. All other brake lights were working properly. He had difficulty removing the bulb so he goes to retrieve pliers. He removes the bulb with the pliers. I purchase a new bulb. He replaces it, but guess what happens after he replaces it. All of the brake lights stop functioning and he drops the screw down the light compartment. I ask him to get assistance. He 1st talks to a guy in uniform who looks like a mechanic due to his uniform. He doesn't really want to get involved. Therefore he retrieves a young lady working as a cashier, at the time. She retrieves the screw. Still no brake lights functioning. They suggest it's a fuse. Well, I've had that tested and it wasn't a fuse. My suggestion is a salesperson should not assist with these types of things if not properly trained. I hadn't talked to the manager and I'm not sure if the lady that assisted him was a manager. I gave it 2 stars only because he was remorseful. I believe his name was Amari. He said he was having a bad day, so can you imagine how I felt, after this experience. A quick stop to purchase a brake light bulb turns into an 1 hour ordeal with no brake lights...
