Edit after my initial review: I went to this Costco again the cart pusher called me the B word while I was looking for a place to park and pushed his carts out into my car... I have no idea what I did wrong I was waiting for people to cross as usual. But everyone was rude and the check out lady was throwing my stuff and put a hole in my steak package.. (original review) I'm a die hard Costco go-er. But no matter the day or the time, I am always struggling to get in and out of this place. It is always packed.. recently they've rearranged the entire store, so everything's in different places after a few years of it being the same a little easier to get in and out when you know where things are. And I say that lightly The parking is horrendous.. the stop light is always backed up and sometimes you'll wait between 3-5 lights waiting to turn into a jam-packed line of cars looking and waiting for spots. Not to mention there is no crosswalk for Thoes trying to enter the store itself so traffic at the light is not only waiting for cross traffic but waiting on Thoes said cars to weave through carts of Thoes coming and going and Thoes cars leaving and then the cart pullers as well. It's 100 percent of the time sheer chaos when you go here. And that's just parking.. 50 percent of the time your waiting for a cart, then You wait to flash your card then people are just everywhere, no direction, not many floor employees to assist you, check out lines are always long and then the line to leave is even longer since you have to wait to have them check your receipt which sucks for Thoes of us who don't share memberships pay extra and aren't there to steal.. just makes Thoes of us who are honest and just trying to get thru the shopping trip in somewhat of a timely manner hard to do.. but if your like me and shopping for a family of 5 you'll be here for a few hours unless you are basically running through the store. Which I've done. LOL. Don't get me wrong as I said before Costco is the way to go..but for as much business as they get they should surely add in additional warehouses to accumulate the amount of...
Read moreAwful experience. No carts at either the row I parked in or inside. Asked for card to enter and made to stop until I had it out. Asked for my card while shopping and told I had to show it. I had to AGAIN show my card in order to even go to the self checkout register. My arms were completely full of groceries including clothing items, since there were no carts available. I was told to put my items down (on the ground ???) to get my card out of my wallet, in my purse. I told them it was inside my purse and was told that I was not allowed to go to a register until I provided it. When I got it out of my wallet it was then promptly ripped out of my hand by the staff member to verify my photo ID on the back, causing me to drop my wallet. No apology. Two very large garage type items in the store had no prices on them, and when I asked staff member they said I would have to carry the item all the way to the front to have the scan it through to tell me the price. Again, no carts so I would have to carry this large item to the front. Bkueberres were moldy. The funny thing about my entire trip is that the girl checking receipts when I left swiped my receipt and didn't bother to look at any of the stuff I had in my arms or count them. I had multiple black clothing items covering the groceries in my arms underneath and there's no way she could have had any idea what I was carrying. At least this one was polite and told me to have a nice day. Definitely do not recommend...
Read moreThis isn’t my first time at Costco, but it was my first time at this particular location. My housemate and I left for work early to swing by and pick up some cleaning supplies. After spending 45 minutes shopping, waiting in line, and loading everything onto the belt, the cashier scanned all the items (under my card). My housemate offered to purchase the items this week as i was low on funds. The cashier explained they can’t take payments from the person who isn’t on the card. Now this was news to both my friend and i. We’ve done this every time we’ve gone shopping at Costco and have even allowed guests to use our card while we are out shopping. Any other location we’ve been to has always allowed this and it’s never been a problem. I even asked why this policy varied from store to store and she made it sound like everyone else was making an exception for us...hard to believe when we’ve done this every time we’ve gone shopping. They also don’t take American Express, so i told the woman we had no way to pay for this. We ended up leaving empty handed and basically wasted an hour of our time for nothing. It was also quite humiliating as it happened in front of multiple people.
I called the manager to ask why this policy varies across stores and he explained and apologized. I appreciated him taking the time to talk to me and it made up for the not so...
