Woodlund Homes — Local services in Wyoming

I would post with no stars if it let me. Our experience with Woodlund homes was a nightmare. Do not waste your time with a company like that. It will cause nothing but heartache. We ordered a single wide and gave them our down payment in early April 2021. Home was to be completed in Late August. All along we would check for updates and were told the price is changed and we will have to pay more, then the timeframe is changed, etc. then it went to September. Then October. We checked with Deb frequently. We tried to be proactive and get things completed but would ask her questions (since we’ve never had a manufactured home before) and getting any information was like pulling teeth. The company was no help with anything. We sold out house in the cities and what we thought was perfect timing for the single wide to be completed and delivered but Deb then told us on 10/13 (after our house in the cities was sold) that the single wide we ordered was NEVER built at the factory. She gave us a very unbelievable story about what happened that we are sure was a lie. The whole time she provided us updates and price hikes and in reality it was NEVER built. How can something like that even happen? She tried to have us take whatever leftovers they had on their lot. What a complete nightmare. We are living in a camper in northern Wisconsin with winter right around the corner. We’ve had to deal with a lot of issues including being sick with COVID recently in a camper with no running water. Both my boyfriend and I came by the place and viewed 2 of their mobile homes. When we went inside to speak with the lady there to let her know they were way out of our price range. So then she said that they could build one for us. We thought about and decided that’s what we would do. During our talk she was very cold like and didn’t seem to be someone that was interested in doing business with us.

Well we found that to be true. Called several times different parts of the day and to let her know which one out of the booklet we wanted. And never once did we ever get a call back. For someone in this type of business you would think that in today’s market where sales of this magnitude are down you would return calls to get some business when you can.

The woman that answered the phone was down right rude, she did not want to assist me with any of my questions she wanted to do as little work as possible. I asked about pricing and was told to go online, then after going online I called back with more questions and was told that everything is done online, that's not the customer service I want to hear when I specifically told her I had questions and wanted to talk to someone. I then was told she had no pricing to give, go online again. After explaining myself many times that I was trying to find something in my price range ( we are buying with CASH) own our own land and will be paying for everything CASH as we are debt free) she insisted she was unable to help me and was busy. Wow, I am pretty sure someone needs to remember that because of customers she has a job, I will never be back and I can not imagine what it would be like to have to deal with this place after buying something and need assistance when you can't...
