I have been a loyal Kroger customer for over 20 years. But with the pandemic I had to change the way I shop. I am on dialysis and am immunocompromised and until just a few months ago immunosuppressed. So I have been using the deliveries and curbside pickup from everywhere. Kroger's is by far the absolute worst. First delivery all of my produce was either completely rotten, expiring the next day, or covered in mold. Second delivery the driver added $40 in alcohol to my order (which of course the driver kept). So I decided to try curbside pickup instead from the Whitaker Rd Kroger. I ordered paper towels but instead they gave me toilet paper. I can't use the tp, the brand clogs my toilet. I've called the store 7 times in 2 days but they don't answer their phones. I searched the website, my account, and everywhere else in hopes of finding a way to get a refund. There is literally no easy way to provide feedback on the curbside pickup. In comparison, Walmart contacts you to ask how the delivery went in addition to the easy reporting setup on the website. So I called the 1-800 number for Kroger's next. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with a woman who ignored my questions, would go 15 minutes at a time not responding to me, and spent more time talking to her family (she admitted she was at home) than me. Unsurprisingly she didn't resolve anything in the 40 minutes I spent. I am angry that I've had to spend so much time just trying to reach someone. I'm angry that a simple mistake is seeming impossible to even report, much less fix. I was a very loyal customer for 20 years. ...
Read moreHave been coming to this store since it first opened. It is close to work/home. It used to be the best store, however the past couple years it has really gone down. I know they are short staffed, however, I feel that most of the staff they do have are always busy filling online/clicklist orders. They are always out of things I regularly buy, causing me to have to go the Fresh Thyme to get my produce and other plant based items. Lately, Ive had to bring my own cart in from the parking lot, and Dont even get me started on that bottle return which is usually closed or has a long line; I have given up trying to return bottles and just donate them now. Im not sure why you cant use cash at the self checkout now and that is certainly inconvenient for some I'm sure. The wait lines are ridiculously long, wrapping around the produce section, making it really difficult for shoppers in that area to move around. Something really needs to be done here, it used to be such a good place to shop. I will say the employees that they do have, are super nice and helpful. Now that Meijer construction is finished, I may find myself shopping...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with the manager this afternoon (4:00 pm) 8/5/24 I called the store this morning and explained that I had two items I wanted to return, but did not have the receipt. The woman at the service desk told me that without a receipt I couldn’t get my money back, but could get a merchandise card with store credit. Upon returning to the store this afternoon , the woman behind the desk said I couldn’t receive a return credit because there was no receipt. To gain more clarity, I asked to speak to the manager. Her attitude was completely unacceptable. At one point, she told me that she had no way of knowing if the two items I had on the counter were even paid for! She was snarky and rude and I believe her attitude was due to my race and appearance. It’s sad that people still judge these days, and have the nerve to do it on the clock. Before I improved my credit and moved on to bigger and better things, I TOO WORKED AT KROGER, and I took PRIDE in my job. I didn’t treat customers poorly, EVER. This location needs to do better, I probably won’t be returning . They literally...
