We ordered for family that had flown in late in that evening from out of town. The order took over an hour to arrive- which wasn't really a big problem in and of itself but when it arrived, it was completely wrong. We ordered 3 pizzas- Cheese, pepperoni and a veggie pizza for our vegetarian family (I spent extra time talking to the lady who took the order about this veggie pizza, as they had multiple options and this was the one for the visiting family), as well as two orders of cheese sticks and a greek salad with greek dressing and ranch dressing on the side. Here were the problems with the order:
-Only two pizzas arrived and no VEGGIE PIZZA which I spent extra time on when placing the order
-The "cheese" sticks were regular bread sticks
-The Greek salad (for which I had requested Greek and Ranch dressing on the side) only had Italian dressing
-The one thing they got right was that the card was charged the appropriate amount that she had told me on the phone
I called and told them (respectfully) that the order was wrong, and when they looked at the receipt they said I was charged for what I got. I asked them to correct it and send me what I had actually ordered, and the gentleman said they would charge me full price if they were to fix my order. No apology. "She said she read you your order back to you before running the card." Okay.
Pro-tip: if you screw up your customer's order so badly they are wondering if you possibly sent them somebody else's, telling the customer they were wrong is not a good way to diffuse the situation.
The good news is, there are three other pizza-delivery restaurants within a quarter-mile radius, so there are better options. I will say though, after reading other reviews, I now understand why they wouldn't offer to fix my order for free- they would apparently be giving away free pizzas...
Read moreI had a coupon for moving into my first home. I attempted to use it on the app for this store, it’s the location it brought up as being the closest. The order would not process no matter how many times I tried, an error would pop up and say that the store was not accepting online orders and that I had to call. I eventually did so and was told on the phone they couldn’t apply it over the call but could in store if we brought in the flyer. When my boyfriend got there to pick up the food, a male employee tried to tell him that I did not try to use the coupon on the app?! I told the woman over the phone that I did try and it wouldn’t go through. We ended up having to pay for everything when the pizza was supposed to be free. In addition we ordered bread and wings so we weren’t trying to get just the pizza for free, we were paying for other items too. Just totally rude and a bad way to handle someone new, especially when we brought in the coupon to apply and...
Read more[Sighs]... I've tried over and over to give this location a chance because I live super close and LOVE Cottage Inn pizza but the employees here just never seem to give a flying you-know-what about their customers' experiences. I've had deliveries take FOREVER on what should be a normal (not busy) night, orders get messed up, call ahead and show up when my pie is supposed to be ready and it's not even in the oven yet. Nick's done a great job turning that old hell-hole of a convenience store around but damn man...can we focus a little more on managing an efficient pizza place too!?! Two stars because I like Nick.
Corporate, if you're listening...the employees here STILL need a BIG lesson on service. If you're busy and it's going to take a while, FINE...just set realistic expectations and maybe try an apology once in a while...in all my bad experiences never have I gotten an I'm sorry just "we'll give you $5 off your next order" which also never...
