Today was the first time I've ever actually been into Ulta, as I normally just shop online. But, there was an item I wanted/ was recommended by my dermatologist and I wanted it now, vs waiting a week for it to arrive. I know Ulta sells it cause I looked it up online before hand, it just didn't tell me if I could get it in store or if it was online only. Anyways, I was greeted as I walked in (and that's basically the only time any worker ever tried to interact with me.) I make my way around the store, trying to find this item, can't find it. Start walking around the store some more hoping to find a worker to assist me, and at the moment, I only saw 2. One being the cashier (who was busy) and the other doing someone's makeup... so, I circle the store again, looking again. I do this about 2-3x. Can't find it. No one asks if I need assistance. Nothing. So finally I decided to wait in the check out line just so I can ask where this item is, or if they even have it. When I finally get up to the register, I ask the cashier, Emily (according to my receipt) where I can find this item. She barely looks at the picture from Ulta on my phone and responds with an attitude, "nooooo.. we don't have that here". At this point I'm just irritated.. I do another lap around the store, looking again, just in case, give up, and just check out with the 1 item I grabbed during my first few laps. I have a coupon for $3.50 off $15+ that I tried to scan at the register.. Forgetting my item isn't that much, Emily let's me know with her attitude that "oooh, that coupons for $15 or more.. and this isn't that price.." like thanks.. I got it, my bad.
I wish I had a better 1st time experience inside this store. I love the products I have bought in the past and I wouldn't mind being able to just walk in and buy them same day vs buying online. But after my experience today, not getting even offered help, or even an employee to even talk to me other then the "hello, welcome in" at the door or me asking the cashier for help.. I highly doubt I will ever step foot in that store again.
As I'm at home writing this review, I decided to look up my original item again... says it's in stock at the store, but they "don't carry it" (Photo Attached) (I ended up going to Target and getting what I originally went...
Read moreThe employee Sania in yuba city (I believe that is her name) Is extremely overbearing. From the moment my boyfriend and I walked into this ulta location I felt the judgement and assumptions from the employee Sania based off our looks. I was informed that ulta & sephora employees will follow you around and "bug" you when they have a suspicion of stealing. about 10 minutes of shopping around and trying to find a new foundation the employee Sania approached me asking me If I needed help, I told her yes because I needed help with a color match, She helped but during that she asked me multiple unnecessary questions about my age, If I have an account with them, and what I usually buy from there. After that she told me once I wait in line to come to her at the register (mind you she was not on a register the entire time until she wanted to "help" me) Once I came to her register she practically demanded for my phone number, address, or ID. I was also using a giftcard for purchase so I didnt mind about earning points but she practically made me give her some form of identification . I felt as if I was being accused & listed as someone to "watch" in this store location. I will not be shopping from this store...
Read moreI went to Ulta (in yuba city) to get a new foundation, and also get shade matched because I have never been able to get shade matched correctly before. I had more time today so I went in today. This employee named Bella was the one I asked for help first. Tbh I didn’t really like her service, she didn’t shade match me corrected and also kinda forced me into getting the one she matched me with. She was also very rude to the other employee I asked help for. I hope Ulta can do something about this because it was really disappointed to see an employee behaving like that to other employee. I didn’t really wanted that one because it was too pink on me so I js said thank you for helping cuz it was too awkward. I then tired to find my shade myself but was unsuccessful so I asked a different employee to help me. She was really nice and talented. She was able to find my shade in just abt 10-15 mins. I am really satisfied with her service. I’m only giving 5 stars because of her otherwise it would have been 2 or even 1 star because of that employee Bella. Btw The name of the employee I really liked is Jasleen. I suggest woman of color to go to her for shade matches because she was really helpful and...
