Ho Chi Minh city has several night market offering a wide rage of food. I enjoyed some grilled sea urchins with quail eggs and peanuts. Lobster was cut into two halves and you can choose two different flavors for each. Really fresh and reasonable price. Then I stuffed myself with two spring rolls. I loved the special fish sauce called 'mam nem'. Don't be scared by the color and the smell. It's umami-rich and blended amazingly with everything in the rolls. Then I helped myself with coconut cream as a dessert. The vendor offered me a cup of coconut water for free.

There's no exact time that they open or closing. It depends on each vender. But around dinner time is perfect. This market mainly targets young people so it's all cheap street food. Don't expect fancy normal restaurants. Just simply prepare an empty stomach, sit by the street on some small chair and enjoy both the food and the lively market atmosphere.

Some foods are trendy at the time so depends on your luck that you can find some special or some strange food trend on the internet with crazy crowd...

Came here around 11pm but everything was closing, really wanted to try some good food and thought it runs through midnight, so make sure you arrive before 10pm to try out things you like! Everyone that was open was very friendly and helped out us out with picking the right food we wanted to eat! Most stalls can speak a little English and will try their best to help you out. Tụi mình đi vào chiều tối thứ 5, tầm 20h nên không tới mức đông nghẹt như cuối tuần, phí giữ xe là 10k nha. 1/ Đi thẳng vào hẻm, đi hướng hẻm tay trái là khu ăn uống, hẻm tay phải là bán hoa 2/ Đồ ăn trong hẻm rất nhiều nhưng đa số là các món lặp lại như bán ốc hải sản, xiên thịt nướng, thịt nướng có miếng phô mai kiểu thái lan, sinh tố/nước ép/trà sữa/nước ngọt kem tuyết/trà dâu, nem nướng, bánh chuối chiên thái lan, bánh puri ấn độ, khoai tây chiên lốc xoáy,.. 3/ Xe bánh độc nhất, không có tiệm thứ 2 đụng hàng trong hẻm là waffle hình cái "ấy"=)))) nhìn tò mò không biết vị ngon không, nhưng e ngại ánh mắt đánh giá không dám mua 4/ Các cô chú, anh chị em buôn bán rất đáng yêu, nhiệt tình và dễ thương. 5/ Vì các món cũng na ná, lặp lại nên mình chủ yếu mua mỗi thứ 1 ít để ăn cho biết, quầy nào không có khách thì mình ghé mua ủng hộ nè. Ăn vui miệng, mùi vị ok nha, không dở. 6/ Giá cả mình thấy ổn áp ấy chứ, không mắc nhen. Các món mình mua là 35k, 20k, 25k, 15k và 5-10k tùy loại nè. No xĩu luôn, giá công khai, có treo bảng và hỏi giá trước ngta vẫn vui vẻ trả lời nha. Mình mua mỗi cái 1 2 xiên thôi mà họ vẫn vui vẻ bán nha. 7/ Nhưng mà nóng lém nên mua đem về ăn á, đường nhỏ, chật nè.
