Spar presents a good shopping environment with friendly staff and an intercom system that ensures social distancing so there is one customer /family at a time by the till point. There's also an impressive range of alcoholic beverages at affordable prices to select from.

We did, however, struggle to get change as in Harare, currencies are not combined (unlike in Bulawayo). We failed to get brown bread (maybe because we went just before shops closed and thru had run out). Biggest tip is do get local cash or swipe or ecocash to reduce the hassle with change. Great place to shop at, it's clean and has a lot of variety. The till operators are friendly and have exceptionally great customer service. The deli makes great food, however, I am appalled by the attitude and bad customer service from the deli servers. I have had 2 bad experiences in the last 2 months and I have also observed that this treatment is extended to other customers as well. To be specific, they are rude (unprovoked ) and have this air of you're bothering me let's get this over and done with ASAP. May you kindly re-train the deli stuff. This is a large store, there is a large assortment of goods, very clean, there is a cafe. Large selection of products in one category, you can choose more expensive or cheaper. Often there are interesting promotions for receiving goods for points in a check. Friendly staff. It upsets the constant lack of change at the checkout, there is no way to pay part of the check in cash, and part of the check with a credit card. This greatly spoils the...
