Really excellent museum with lots of interesting pieces. The guide I had was excellent as well - very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the whole topic.
The guard told me I was supposed to book in advance, which I had not done, but then he let me in and I got a great tour anyway.
I would recommend to the museum that they try to have opening hours where you can just walk around. The guided tour was great, but I would have valued also being able to spend more time after the tour slowly reading a lot of the info.
This doesn't seem to be on many of the guidebooks etc but I definitely recommend it if you're at all interested in these...

Can register in advance on the website but I don't think it did anything, they still took all my info when I arrived, didn't receive any email confirmation. I was only person on the 9am Tuesday tour in August (not well promoted) and two staff led me through the museum, history of coins and notes in Albania, then checking out the vault and old bank entrance and location
It's a beautiful building, interesting acoustics. Lots of beautiful old coins and money to see.

You can learn a lot about the history of money in Albania, from old times until today. There are many coins, banknotes, and also videos and interactive things to see. The guide was very kind and explained everything in a simple and clear way. The building itself is also very impressive. I think this museum is a little hidden gem in Tirana and I really recommend...
