LIFT Steak & Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Tirana Municipality

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Tirana for dry aged steaks. Had the priviledge to host 3 friends here including the Team Chef and Team Manager of a visiting Football team, playing in the Europa Conference league. We ordered some plates to share, salad, nduja pinza or focaccia and black angus tartare and carpaccio. All amazing especially the Tartare and the Carpaccio which kinda shocked my guests in a good way. Then came 3 different cuts of dry aged meat to share between us. Sirloin, T Bone and Picana. 350gr each to share between us. The meats were of amazing quality and medium rare to perfection. We tucked in not wasting any time. Every bite delicious and different. The smokiness of the T-bone, the meatiness of the sirloin, and the buttery flavour of the picana made us stop talking for a while to enjoy this feast. Portions were exact, as at the end of the meal as 4 men struggled to finish 1300gr of excuisite meats. The guests were astounded, commenting in continuation that these were the best steaks they had ever tried in their life. And they travelled with their football team all over Europe. What a compliment to Lift and what a compliment to Tirana for serving such quality food. The service too was on point, attentive and very professional. Personally, I have tried almost all restaurants in the city, but for steaks I would distinguish Lift and Tribe as the best not only in Tirana and Albania but can easily compete with any steak restaurants in Europe. Very nice atmosphere, with a chill and laid back, but still upscale vibe. The music made one feel like a mafioso in a movie, which is a definite plus in my book.

I ordered the tuna sashimi as a starter and the lift burger, cooked medium rare, as my main - which was served with french fries and truffle sauce (the sauce being my own choice). With the burger, i chose the ‘Impure’ malbec red wine, which paired well with the red meat. A very nice and affordable wine in my opinion. All in all a pleasant experience, but a large meal with the starter, so don’t fill up on bread!

Now to the tuna sashimi, as that was the clear highlight of the night. 7 slices of dark tuna meat, lightly seared on the outside edge, with thin cut truffle pieces and some (i forget which) green leafs laid on top. The tuna lies marinating in a savory and salty sauce made with soy and, i suspect, truffle - which they seem very fond of at LIFT.

The only negatives in my experience were a somewhat limited english vocabulary with the staff (not really a problem though), and somewhat uninviting dish ware and cutlery, as my first plate was not washed properly, and the cutlery was very worn, as was clearly just thrown in the washer. Both superficial and ultimately unimportant issues.

Dining at LIFT Steak & Rooftop Bar was a truly exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the sleek, stylish ambiance of the rooftop bar, with its panoramic views of Tirana, set the perfect mood for a memorable evening.

We ordered the ribeye and picanha, both cooked medium rare, and they were absolute perfection. The ribeye was succulent and tender, with just the right amount of char on the outside while retaining a juicy, rich flavor inside. The picanha, a cut not often found in many restaurants, was equally impressive—its deep, savory notes and buttery texture made each bite a delight. It’s clear the chefs at LIFT know their way around a grill, as the steaks were flawlessly prepared, bursting with flavor.

As if the main course wasn’t enough to impress, the dessert took the meal to another level. Unique in both presentation and taste, it was the perfect balance of sweetness and creativity. Each bite offered something unexpected, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re a steak lover or simply looking for a sophisticated place to enjoy a fantastic evening, this spot is a must-visit in Tirana. Five stars...
