Rossini Restaurant in Tirana sits near the Air Albania Stadium and offers a refined Italian dining experience with a clear focus on presentation, ambiance, and attentive service. My wife had been here a couple of times with her sister after visiting her nearby manicure and pedicure spot, so we decided to give it a try together for a midday lunch.
⸻
Atmosphere & Service:
The setting is beautiful — tasteful, upscale, and polished without being overly formal. Whether you’re seated indoors or out, the environment feels calm and classy. The waitstaff was excellent: attentive, professional, and friendly without hovering. If you’re looking to feel pampered, they deliver.
⸻
Food:
I ordered the lamb chops, which were well-cooked and plated nicely. The overall quality of the food was good, but nothing particularly blew me away. My wife enjoyed her meal as well, though it seemed more about the atmosphere than culinary creativity.
⸻
Price Point:
This is where things shift. Rossini is expensive — especially for lunch. While I don’t mind paying for quality, the price tag here feels more justified for a special occasion dinner rather than a casual midday bite. The food was solid, but not quite memorable enough to bring me back based on taste alone.

Final Thoughts:
Rossini is a beautiful spot with great service and respectable Italian dishes. If you’re celebrating something, having a romantic dinner, or simply want to enjoy a refined setting, it’s a good choice. But for a casual lunch or regular stop-in, the prices make it a bit hard to justify. Go for the ambiance — and maybe save it for the...
Read moreThe best Southern Europe has to offer. We were blown away by the entire experience. Coming from Southern Italy where there is amazing cuisine, we were expecting good but not great. It outperformed expectations….and we have high expectations. I went with three others who come from the culinary and wine industry. We ordered the foie gras which was the best foie gras I’ve ever had. The beef carpaccio was actually an experience beyond anything NYC has to offer. Look at the pics, they roll it into a burrito type of dish which sounds “piffy” but it was incredible. Then we had the tuna tar tar with melon. The perfect blend of sweet and tuna. They started us with some olive, butter mixed with red chili pepper and beet root purree…with the toasted bread. AMAZING!!!!. For the main course; duck, A5 Wagu, BBQ ribs (forgot what kind but it was cooked on the big green egg and amazing). Desert was some kind of egg thing that you crack open with chocolate sauce. Incredible. Top this off with service that is beyond anything in south EU. Xhulio was our waiter, tip him well….the entire meal cost $510 USD with two bottle os recommended amazing Albanian wine. This is a $1,500 meal in Chicago. GO THERE! Did I mention Xhuilo? He the waiter you want to ask for. Tip him well….no EU tip, American tip of 25% at least. He deserves...
