Cucina D'Onore — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

We paid 13,000pesos for new years dinner. We reserved online. Received confirmation email and then found out on arrival at 10pm that we are not on the list. Absolutely gutted as we didnt have a second option. We persisted and got a spare table in the carpark. We watched dozens complain and walk away, making the same mistake. End of the day if you ask customers to pay that price you better back it up. Food wasnt terrible. I'll give you that. But I had to swap my salmon for my partners beef cause she couldn't eat it. Those Prices are Michelin star. And it was ordinary at best. Too tip it off the toilets were either getting fixed or cleaned at the peak of the night. So there was a line of 10-20 customers lining up to use the disabled toilet. We feel bad not tipping our waiter which he demanded but as the face of your business he is the person who has to face our disappointment but also the person who has to take the hit in the pocket. Unfortunate...but what a terrible evening....

We went there because of the large amount of positive Reviews. As European tourists having been to Italy multiple times I would say we are quite familiar with Italian cuisine.

However the food was average at best (all of us having pasta). We waited a long time despite being the only people in the restaurant (on a weekday at around 7 pm). The atmosphere was very unwelcoming, maybe due to us being the only guests or maybe due to the very cliche Mafia themed interior. There were 4 waiters standing right beside our table, yet none of them was really paying attention to us, forgetting drinks we ordered on 2 occasions. At least the prices were fair.

All in all I cannot understand the positive reviews as this was the worst dinner experience we had during our 3 weeks in South America. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone valuing atmosphere or somewhat authentic...

Good waiters, everything takes very long tho. And the food is absolutely trash. I don’t think I had worse food in any restaurant of my 10 days in Argentina. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here as it’s easily the most tasteless food in the country. I feel bad for the staff because they are very kind and hard working but the food does not provide the same feeling. Had the Garlic bread (which is not garlic bread, just bread with some basil on top) mozzarella sticks (cheese was 0% melted) and the fried calamari (only decent dish)

If I can tell you one thing it’s not to come here and save yourself the terrible experience. What a joke of a restaurant the worst Italian in all...
