One of the very best coffees in Buenos Aires, and overall one of the nicest cafes thanks to a fantastic service (and really yummy cakes and pastries to accompany your drinks). We've been more than one time and there are various people working there, depending on the day, but they are all super kind, upbeat and ready to "personalize" your made-to-order coffee drink, if you so wish. The ambience is unusual, with a bit of an industrial vibe, bikes and books adorning the walls and two floors where to sit and enjoy your coffee break. There is also a very nice bar with high chairs to sit in front of the barista, as if he or she were a barman. Unusual, but it works nicely and creates a familiar, informal ambience. The croissants and pain au chocolate both look and taste great. The cheesecake doesn't look that appetizing, but it's actually extremely creamy and full of flavors. If you favor something savory, scrambled eggs are made at the moment. You can also buy the excellent coffee they serve, in different varieties from the brand Puerto Blest, which are bagged in beans and they will grind it to your specifications (drip, V60, moka, espresso....) when you buy it, so it is freshly ground and at its best when you take it home. As of January 2024 there is a 10% discount if you pay cash, for everything you consume in the cafe as well as what you take home. Highly, highly...

In summary, Evaristo Café promises excellent coffee and a welcoming vibe. Just double-check those hours...

There is a small bookshelf upstairs. They have WiFi that works. The barista weighs out the coffee and when we got it it was served in two similar cups but one was smaller than the other....a bit quirky but fine. The latte was smooth and a little bit weak but otherwise good. If you want the coffee to be served hot please request it. It is served like in Italy at about 70 deg which is good for latte coffee. There is a printed menu but the prices are...
