I recently visited this sushi restaurant and was left with a disappointing experience. The conveyor belt, which is typically a highlight of sushi restaurants, was almost always empty and when it was refilled, the selection of sushi was limited and repetitive. This made it difficult to find new and exciting sushi options.
Furthermore, the sushi that was available on the conveyor belt often contained cream cheese, which is not a traditional ingredient in Japanese sushi. As a traditional Japanese person once said, 'Sushi is not just about the taste, it's about the experience and the cultural heritage that comes with it.' Unfortunately, this restaurant fails to deliver on that front as well. The addition of cream cheese detracts from the natural flavors of the seafood and other ingredients used in the sushi and does not provide the authentic sushi experience many customers are looking for.
Despite these shortcomings, the restaurant does have a few redeeming qualities that prevented me from giving a lower rating. For example, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Additionally, the sushi that was available was still fresh and of good quality, even if it was limited in selection.
All things considered, I would rate this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars. While it falls short in some areas, such as the limited selection of sushi and the use of non-traditional ingredients, it still offers a decent dining experience with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. However, for those looking for a truly authentic sushi experience, it may be best to...
Read moreThe concept with the rolling band is cool. Two pieces of sushi per palette cost 550 pesos which is 1,40€ (exchange rate of 380-1), same for the beverages.
The sushi itself was delicious but unfortunately we were more sitting and waiting for any sushi than really enjoying it. It took way too long for them to do the sushi and actually put it on the band. The place was full (more or less 15 people) so every time they would put new sushi on the band every couple ate 1-2 palettes and had to wait again 10-15 minutes for new sushi to be put out. Unfortunately because of that we went out of the place pretty quickly and not satisfied. A couple that was sitting next...
Read moreOne of the better spots to get sushi in Buenos Aires that is not just laden with cream cheese (sorry Argentina, but you do abuse your cheese use quite often! I don't hate it, but it is nice to take a break from cheese overload in every meal :P). We were here 3 times during our stay in Buenos Aires, and it was perfect 2 out of 3 times! The third time was still good, but the salmon was not as good as the first two times.
We also loved the people who worked there, they were very nice. A tip to those who want to dine here, if you want something that is not on the conveyer belt, order from the chef/server directly....
