For several reasons: we were told to move from a lovely balcony table downstairs, because other people supposedly had booked that and would come later (nobody came to that 'reserved table' within the following 1 1/2hours) the service takes quite long (but that might be a cultural thing) we were asked about three times if we wanted any food, which we denied every time as we just wanted to have a drink (we ordered juice, additionally 2 glasses of wine) other tables were brought peanuts/nuts as a snack, we didn't get any when paying we were confronted with the fact that the little jazz concert cost 6000 AR$ per person (it was not communicated beforehand, nor was it signposted anywhere) the paying process in itself seemed to ask too much of staff: preferably in cash, otherwise an argentinien transfer (which we don't have the app, nor suitable bank account, for), or payment by card. the problem though: staff & manager(?) have never heard or seen google/(apple) pay as they insisted on seeing the actual card (which we generally do not bring along any more). a drama.

altogether it can be said that la biblioteca cafe is a beautiful place, which can have some great vibes with live music, but guys(!!!) you seriously need to make a few...

Amazing !!! just had no words to express how privileged we all felt to be able to attend a performance at La Biblioteca Cafe. The food was delicious, the service prompt and very friendly, and the performance was wonderful !!! The main performer was Carlos del Pino, who besides delighting the audience with his great voice and heartfelt tango interpretations, he managed to take us on an intimate tour of the history of Tango. The place is small, cozy, unique, you feel as if you are part of the performance as we're so close to the artists. What an experience! Strongly recommended to everyone. Thank you to the whole staff from La Biblioteca Cafe and to Carlos del Pino and his extremely talented pianist...

Llegamos diez minutos antes de nuestra reserva, la cafetería estaba vacía y las encantadoras camareras dijeron que no podían encontrar nuestra reserva. La pechuga de pollo estaba deliciosa y perfectamente cocinada, pero venía en una salsa muy extraña con arroz recocido. La ensalada César consistía en huevos cocidos que estaban verdes alrededor de las yemas, enormes losas de queso tipo cheddar, algunas aceitunas y lechuga iceberg. Todo esto estaba cubierto con una salsa tipo crema de ensalada enlatada. Hicimos lo que pudimos y nos dispusimos a disfrutar del espectáculo. Llegó el pianista y luego la señora mayor salió al área del escenario. Se había quitado los rulos y se había maquillado para verse mucho más bonita. Cantó una canción o dos y luego anunció en español, a toda la audiencia, mientras nos miraba, que todo el mundo odiaba a los ingleses, también dijo que todos los ingleses eran feos. No pudimos irnos porque era un lugar tan pequeño y lleno de gente. Durante dos horas nos sentamos allí sintiéndonos absolutamente horribles. Es difícil entender cómo un ser humano civilizado puede ser tan grosero, falto de modales y sin gracia. Obviamente no...
