La palita Austria bs as We sit down. The place seems agreeable. The waiter is kind and we order a nice malbec to match a good steak (2 steaks actually). We kindly ask him that our steaks are “bien cocidos”, well cooked, which in Argentina means your meat won’t be neither red nor pink, but “grayish”. After 25 minutes our steaks arrive: while the first one is ok, the other one is covered by a layer of charcoal, it is clearly imposible to eat and disgusting to the palate. We kindly ask the waiter to change this evidently burnt steak by another one. He comes back after one minute with the same steak, and, clearly embarrassed, excuses himself by saying that the “parrillero” (the cook specialized in the grill) says it is not burnt. We ask then to talk to the manager. The man comes to our table, repeats the steak is perfect (but he says he hasn’t tasted it) and offer us to make us something else if we would like to. We ask for another steak. Not burnt this time. After 25 minutes, no steak in sight, having eaten only a plate of french fries and with the baby starting to get uneasy, we ask for the check. They bring us a DOGGY BAG with the burnt piece of meat inside (yes, the one we refused to eat in the first place!) and a ticket where that dish was, of course, included. We ask that the addition is changed, but they refuse in a very bad mannered way, repeating THE STEAK IS PERFECT. I’ve never had such a deplorable experience in a restaurant IN MY LIFE. It’s embarrassing and disgusting how mean and low a restaurant manager can be. We will certainly NEVER come back to la Palita. And i hope the owners know what kind of people are...

The service was excellent, prompt, professional. From them opening the door for me when I walked in, to seating, taking my order right away, checking in on me, and prompt check delivery and boxing my leftovers, and also just being nice, I truly appreciated for once having great service as I eat dinner. Read moreWent on a friday night at 20:30 for dinner with my wife. She ordered the Bife de Chorizo and I ordered the Ravioli. The service was very slow, the ravioli was poorly cooked (cold in the middle) and the meat was sloppily cooked. The salad which was suppose to come with the meal came with the cheque at the end. Worst of all we both got a mild case of food poisoning that night from the food. There are a lot of nice restaurants with nice atmosphere in the area, I highly recommend you choose to go...
