My husband and I saw a tango show here and we loved it. We got upgraded to this place from La Ventana. They are all part of the same family, but Michelangelo was amazing. The people there are way beyond five star rating. Fernando who was at the front host stand was very kind and helped us get a place for dinner when we only purchased the tickets for the show. They take US dollars too, which helped when we were in a pinch. Pedro, the manager, was so nice and helpful. He genuinely cares about his customers and is so very welcoming. Alejandro (our waiter) was very nice and patient with us while were trying to order. Another person who just made our night there. The bartenders (Luca and Felyy) at Dante Bar within Michelangelo were so much fun to hang out with. They did a great job of taking care of us as well. Made some amazing drinks! Ask for drinks they love to make that's not on the list, you might be surprised. Most importantly the food and tango show was fantastic. The show was amazing. The singers, the dancers, the drummers, and all of it exceeded our expectation. The acoustics there was top notch. Even at the belting of the singers, it came out perfectly. We came back a second night just for drinks, and everyone remembered us. They treated us like family. I can't think of a better place to visit again. I know our next trip to BA, we will come back here. You will not go wrong with this place. I do hope it stays around for a very long time. You can't find better people, show, and food than this place. Thank you Fernando, Alejandro, Pedro, Luca, Felyy, and all the others we met at those two evenings, you all made our trip to BA as one of the best experiences we had in...
Read moreThis restaurant felt like a hidden gem to me, I stumbled upon it by accident and before I knew it had the most wonderful dinner experience, great wine and even got a private tour of the wine cellars and many different rooms. The place has a really cool history and you can ask the waiters to tell you about its story, there is also a museum feel to it since they have kept original things throughout time. The bar looked super nice but I did not try any drinks there. They also have tango shows and you can arrange private wine tastings in the cellar rooms. The staff were extraordinary and incredibly friendly. I was dining alone and I don’t know if they felt like they needed to entertain me but I received a high quality service and even extra wine on the house for no apparent reason . This was such an unexpectedly nice experience in Buenos Aires and one of the most unique and fun evenings of my trip. Highly...
Read moreMagnificent Tango Show paired with great food, abundant wine (according to VIVINO among top 7% worldwide Malbec from Mendoza), super service ! I was at tango shows before (though not in Argentina) and this one was just superb! Of course it’s primarily for tourists but it was authentic, sincere and passionate. Each member of the artists’ group - musicians, dancers, singers, drummers “lived” their performance visibly enjoying what they were doing. The show included a kind of review of tango history and musical and dance influences. The dinner was time-wise separated from the show which we found an absolute game changer! It allows the audience to become totally absorbed into the performance, and it certainly shows more respect for the artists. Waiters (Gustavo among others) are witty, swift and helpful. Overall- amazing experience, not to be...
