I’ve wanted to go to this place for years. While New Orleans Cajun isn’t something I’d want often, I’ll be back to NOLA soon. When I asked the counter staff to guide my selections, I wasn’t given enough convincing to make me choose conclusively, so I took a stab and ordered the jambalaya and the chicken and waffles. The portion sizes are sufficient but if you’re hungry you ought want to order a side of something. Carmen considers fried chicken her ultimate comfort food but rarely orders it because, well, it is fried. When asked how she liked it she said it was the best she’d ever eaten...which really says a lot. Crispy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. I’m not a rice lover, but the jambalaya was amazing! The chicken was flavorful and tender. The only thing I hated about the place are the really uncomfortable tall tables and stools. With no back support it doesn’t make eating a meal very pleasant. The citrus sangria...

I heard that the fried chicken here was really good. Very excited to come here and try it. Today was the day and just found it to be average. Looked great, nice and crunchy but no flavor at all. I was expecting much more flavor but it tasted like nothing was added to the batter not even salt. I had the wings, thighs, drumsticks and a breast. The place is a small restaurant with not a lot of space inside or outside to eat. 5 of us sat outside split between two tables. We all ordered water and they gave us really dusty green glass bottles with rust around the mouth of the bottles that I couldn’t wipe off. If I ever go back I’ll try the jambalaya or beans & rice. The fried mushrooms were really good and the corn bread wasn’t a hit either. To be fair 4 of us had the chicken 2 of us weren’t impressed but 2 of my friends had chicken sandwiches ( Classico and Gaucho) and said...

Went for supper and ordered the breast of chicken and coleslaw and a leg and thigh of chicken with coleslaw. Also took a syphon of water (soda water)with ice. This was the first place not to be outrageous in it's pricing for water and halfway through the meal without asking they brought more ice. The breast of chicken was like a schnitzel. Both meals were large in portions and very tasty. They have a selection of salsa's from spicy to just right. The place has an excellent vibe and while it was very humid outside the place has fans and Aircon but they did not help at all it was hot inside as well. There is seating outside as well. You need to place your order at the bar and wait for your name at the kitchen area to pick up the food. All in all a great night and not too expensive for...
