We have been to this restaurant 4 times, once in 2019 and 3 times in Jan. and Feb. 2023. We love the food. It is very reasonably priced and the portions are generous and tasty. Unfortunately every time we went there in 2023 our server would add an item to our bill that we did not order or consume. We believe the waiter thought that being English speaking we could not read his Spanish bills, not knowing that we could. The first time he apologized for his mistake, the second time when he was caught he told us that was for the basket of bread when in fact there was no charge for the bread, and the last time he decided to not give us a bill rather a tally of numbers. We went through the numbers to match our items ordered and found he had overcharged by 1000 pesos. We decided not to create a scene rather to walk away and not tip him. We love Argentina and the people of Argentina but we were disappointed to meet one like this server. This is the first time we have left such a review but we would like other tourists to be aware to check their bill carefully when dining at Norte. Our one star is not for the quality of the food, rather it's for the server ruining our experience of eating there. This is the downside of paying the waiter rather than paying to the cashier. The waiter pays the owner what is ordered but overcharges on the bill and pockets...

Authentic Argentinian restaurant. Pretty crowded most of the time, so don't expect a quiet environment. As with every other restaurant in Buenos Aires, you have to fight for the waiter's attention, even more if the place is too crowded.

We ordered a 1/4 Pollo a las dos Olivas, it was served quick enough and it blew our minds. The broth was delicious, and the chicken was pretty well cooked. The olives really pack a punch in this dish and you should defined try it!

Oh, and don't underestimate the 1/4 serve size. It can be one quarter of the "real" dish, but it's enough to fill one person, maybe even two if you're not really that hungry.

For dessert we ordered a Flan, tasted pretty good!

Subtracted one star because we waited for 20 minutes for our waiter to just give us the bill, he completely forgot about us.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant, just be patient with...

Simple restaurant, very clear menu, good waiter and very fast. I went past to lunch time (~15h) I asked for one of the meals of the day. The one chosen was pechuga rellena j&q con papas espanholas. Chicken breast stuff with ham & cheese in a sauce which reminds me of a strogonoff (the chicken breast is kind of cooked and very yummy and juicy no skin. Wonderful) the potatoes as cut as chips but a bit more beffier. Had a 1L Stella to go together and was very good. With a very good price. Please do not forget to tip in the restaurants cause it's not included. Simole restaurant, good food, several football badges, to me looks like an regular porteno restaurant to have lunch with friends and talk about life. The vast majority of customers are habiutes and know the waiters for years....

First night in BA and we wanted something casual, delicious and where the locals eat. This is the place. Waiter was prompt and so kind, even cracking jokes with us despite the language barrier. Entire staff was smiling and very happy. We ordered from the Monday menu and got the estofado con potatas (basically a hearty cut of beef which has been stewed and served with their Milanese tomato sauce). Oh my it was SO good! We got a 1/2 bottle of wine that was also a great accompaniment. The bread on the table is not free so just know that. Overall very pleased. With recent price changes everywhere, this meal put us back about $26USD for one entree, 1/2 bottle of wine and bread.
