I only rate the food. I share my experience in the review I have been living across from this little quaint neighborhood restaurant for the past month and haven’t visited until today. What a regret! This place feels like family. People walking in and out, talking to the owners and cooks; it feels like home. It’s very small with standing tables only, but has all of the things you want in a middle eastern shop. We ordered their their only two hot sandwiches, shawarma and falafel, and they were both simple and delicious. The falafel was hot, smooth, flavorful. The shawarma was tender and delicious. Pita is fresh! Hummus is great. Onions are seasoned!!! Just a perfect afternoon delight and at 14:30, we got the LAST of it, so arrive early. I do wish they had some sort of creamy garlic sauce, but that’s personal. The little sweets were equally as pleasant. We got the powdered cookies, one with spiced walnuts (I think) inside and they were perfectly sweet, crunchy and flavorful. We also picked up some dolmades from their cold fridge (which has TONS of food), so I’m looking forward to those later. But all of that for $3700! If you’re in the neighborhood, don’t...

Plus a refrigerated section of lovely hummus, Kafta, taboulhi, Mante, (mini raviolis you take home and cook in soup broth) and a ton of other arabic-style foods and ingredients.
They told us how to prepare and serve everything at home. The owner urged us to come back at noon the next day when they would have falafel and kebabs made hot, « pour manger sur la puce ». (To eat on the run).
When I inquired about everyone walking out with big, flat, take-away packages, he had us try one. They were packaged stacks of a lovely something-or-other, savory, flat-pizza thing covered in minced arabic-flavored vegetables. He served us one that he warmed, and we ate it at the stand-up bar, sprinkled with the lemon juice that he recommended.
It was so good that we bought six more to go, and walked out with our own lovely food to eat at home!
I will be back here on my next trip...
