Terrible service. Our server constantly looked angry, and seemed to be extra rude just because we were younger than all the seniors there, or also because we seemed like tourists. Only when my husband told him we were from a different city, did the man get a smidge friendlier.
Food took nearly an hour to arrive, and while we were starving, we couldn't even eat a lot because it was pure cheese. We ordered the canelones with 4 cheese sauce...but basically got a flat pancake absolutely DROWNING in cheese. The inside was a solid cheese mass oozing oils, wrapped by the thin canelone, with cheese roasted on top.....and an extra heavy, thick and clumpy cheese sauce on TOP of all that. And of course, cheese on the side that we couldn't even look at. Paid 10k pesos for pure cheese, oil, and butter. I could not taste the canelone at ALL.
Ojo de bife was lower than average; full of tendon and gristle, not very tender, and not much flavor. We had to add salt. The grilled flavor was the only star of the night, but we can do FAR better at home for a third of the price.
Also, the bread appetizer was absolutely disgusting. Found a piece of soggy lettuce (no, we did not even order a salad) on a breadstick package, and each roll was extremely stale.
Incredibly disappointed, as we were hoping to have a nice dinner date together. Instead, we felt constantly judged (our waiter also constantly stood behind us, and we couldn't even have a private conversation), food took AGES to arrive, and wasn't even of great quality. For the pretty high price, I'm extremely disappointed. Unbelievable really. Go here if you're an extremely old local, and maybe you'll have a better experience...plus a stomach ache from a...
Read moreIt's hard to believe that this restaurant has a rating of 4+. The quality of the meat is horrible. As an Argentine, I am ashamed that this meat is served to nationals or foreigners. This food does not represent the quality of the argentine food, especially the meat. The service also leaves a lot to be desired, with a grumpy waiter who doesn't even have the patience to explain the dishes. That the meat comes unaccompanied at those prices is absolutely ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it in my country. If it weren't for the fact that we were with our family who came from far away and it was very late I would have gotten up from the table and looked for another place. The cost was exorbitant at 36,000 ARS/person. An absolute theft!!! My recommendation is to find another place to have dinner. Please don't leave your money to this dishonest...
Read moreWent there on a Tuesday night, the place was packed but they had a cozy table for two. We spoke little Spanish, they spoke little English but they were very accomodating and patient. Helps that the menu is also in English. Waiter warned us about portion size so we didn't order too much food. Very pleasent experience, felt authentic, many locals. Paid around 40€ for a bottle of water, two huge glasses of red wine, a salad, a side of fries and two huge steaks cooked to perfection that we could not finish. Would...
