Tea Connection Uriburu — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Great place to have a cup of good tea. The variety of types and blends is awesome and the information provided by Fer (one of the very kind waiters) was very useful to enjoy our choices. As you can see in the pictures they provide the chinese style kettles with a sand timer in order to measure the necessary time to produce a high quality infusion with the correct taste. You can also buy tea in three different presentations: 50 grs can, 100grs can and 100grs in a plastic bag to refill your can. Brunch is offered here and the prices are ok as regards the quality and taste of the food and drinks. Brownies and cakes are also available and you can read the menu in one of the pictures that I have included in this review. Last but not least I have to say that I was very surprised with the option of having lunch at this place. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a grilled chicken breast with a pure of potatoes, pumpkin and herbs. My fiancee chose pasta and the ravioli 'al pesto' with toasted almonds was also marvelous. Then the dessert time arrived and I chose an apple cramble with icecream and dressed with caramel sauce and cinnamon...very tasteful! The only problem is that you have to eat out of the place due to the pandemic...so cars, motorbikes and passerbies are constantly around you but in my opinion it deserves a lot to...

Voy muy de vez en cuando, aunque me encantaría ser un cliente habitual porque me gusta cuidarme y hacer vida de barrio. Pero sucede todo lo contrario, cuando voy pienso en no volver. Lo hago por proximidad y oferta dentro de todo aceptable. Atención incompetente. Platos que se ofrecen de una manera y luego no son lo que se lee o asegura el camarero. No es un sitio para paladares exigentes, suelen ir estudiantes extranjeros y locales. Es cocina de paso con relato pretencioso, pero desafortunadamente salta a la vista la pobre calidad de las materias primas y la falta de generosidad de sus emplatados. Por citar algunas experiencias, el yogur de búfala sin lactosa (que lo compro) no es el de LA DELFINA, el único que se produce en 🇦🇷. Las tortitas no son 3 como te asegura la camarera, llegan 2 y hasta se atreve a decirte que sirven según el peso. Sándwich de j y q, es puro pan. Jugo de frutillas rico. Café llegó con el haza pegajosa y pedí que me sirvieran mi café en una taza limpia, como corresponde. El precio es asequible para los que ganamos en otra moneda pero para los locales es un sitio con precios elevados por lo que es (cocina saludable y de paso). Por tanto, a mi no me parece una oferta transparente, sincera y confiable. En fin, después de dirigir un libro de cocina, diseñar las cartas de un chef conocido, de disfrutar en los mejores restaurantes de EUROPA durante 27 años, también Miami, NYC, Marruecos, Buenos Aires y Punta del Este, de escribir algunas de mis experiencias en revistas de reconocido prestigio y en mi blog 🇪🇸: ¡tengo que pagar y comer el engaño en mi propio barrio! Food is healthy and really nice. Service during the day is very good. However service at night was poor. I ordered a wine and it was really not ok (sour wine). I can recognize a sour wine perfectly. Our waiter took the bottle, however he came back and told me I should try the wine they have by glass and request a bottle of the same wine because they would not accept another bottle back. All clients can return as many bottles as necessary if the wine is sour. That was rude and unnecessary. Finally, he brought me the appetizer before serving the wine. I guess management is missing...
