2023 Review: After our experience in 2020 it was a no brainer to come back when we make it to Ushuaia again. A few weeks ago we made it back. Of course we hade huge expectations. The restaurant increased it's capacity at least by 100% since 2020, as a new additional room has been added. The place was well visited but we had a reservation. The atmosphere was not quite as exceptional and exquisite as it has been with the smaller setup. The service was very friendly but the food took quite some time to arrive. It tasted very good, don't get me wrong, still one of the best places in Ushuaia, but (yes unfortunately there is a but) the original excellence, perfectionism and creativity has lacked. While we were blown away in 2020, this year we were satisfied but not quite as flashed. Maybe it was just a bit of bad luck, as said still VERY good, but that small tiny edge of perfection was missing. Maybe there will be another time when we try again 🤠 2020 Review: This small restaurant is located a little bit uphill of the center in Ushuaia, neatly decorated and of small and thus cozy size. The cuisine is, as far as I can judge, Argentinian and classics with modern interpretation. The taste you might ask? Well it is no less than mind blowing in my opinion. I would have never expected to find such innovative and high quality cuisine literally at del fin del Mundo (the end of the world). You can taste the flavor intention of the chef with every tiny bite, a well balanced composition of tastes which is overwhelming with emotions while eating. I have been at several world class restaurants (not many but a couple) and I you consider price and possibilities in Ushuaia with respect to ingredients hell I would say this is far up that list. Thank you for hosting us twice and serving us such delicious creations from very simple cold plates with strong and powerful flavors, to innovative and beautifully decorated plates with uniquely interpreted dishes. :)

Update January 2023: We loved this restaurant during our last stay in Ushuaia in 2020, therefore we definitely wanted to come back. They have expanded their tiny space, which is on the one hand a nice extra area on the other hand the coziness that it had before changed. The meal we had was good, but not extraordinary anymore. The creativity is still present in the compositions, but the presentation has decreased. Also, we had to wait very long for each course despite arriving at 9pm only. Overall, it is still worth a visit, but is not mind blowing anymore. March 2020: Wow - there is not more to say. We came here twice during our stay in Ushuaia as we loved the food so much. It is definitely not cheap, but for what you get more than worth it. We'd rather spend a few more pesos here than on the touristy main street. We can recommend the Ceviche and the traditional argentinian food starter, lomo cremoso, fish of the day and the ojo de bife, and as desserts the panacotta de té and dulce de leche creme brulée. Thank you a lot for two amazing nights.

Terrible Experience on New Year's Eve - Overcharged and Disrespected:

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant on New Year's Eve. My fiancé and I were given incorrect pricing information for the set menu by the female manager, who clearly stated it would cost $100 USD per person without showing us the prices. However, after dinner, we were charged double per person, with drinks billed separately—despite this being her mistake.

When we contacted the restaurant to address the issue, the manager initially acknowledged her error and agreed to process a refund after we provided our bank details since we were leaving the city. However, the following day, she reversed her position, became verbally abusive, and ultimately refused to honor the refund. She even blocked us on WhatsApp and other communication channels, making it impossible to resolve the issue further.

This experience was not only unprofessional but also felt dishonest. What should have been a special evening turned into a nightmare of overcharging, lies, and exceptionally rude behavior. I have both written and voice note evidence of how poorly we were treated and how the manager handled the situation.

I would strongly advise against dining here. Not only were we overcharged, but we were also treated with outright disrespect. This is unacceptable, especially at a restaurant claiming to offer a...

As we came in we saw one waiter arguing and being incredibly with a family of 4 who then left without ordering anything. That should have rang alarm bells. But we went and sat down because we really wanted to try their chocolate volcano.

We ordered our wine but then when we tried to order dessert we were told "no you can't have dessert". We were confused and showed the waiter the picture on Google. He said no you can't have it. You must order a dish each. No dessert. We had already eaten and just wanted dessert. And we were ordering one each. But he refused to serve us and told us to leave. We had wine at this point. But he still refused to give us the dessert. We knew they had it because a couple at another table had one. Now the waiter told us we had to leave if we weren't ordering a main dish.

Bear in mind the restaurant was half empty and we had ordered wine. Frankly I was shocked at the rude service and attitude. Anyway we left and had a chocolate volcano at another restaurant which was amazing. And there are plenty of other really amazing restaurants in Ushuaia a couple of blocks away with much better service. I would highly recommend going to one of...
