My family and I arrived at the restaurant very content. After receiving a recommendation from multiple tour guides about this restaurant, we were prepared to be pleased. When we got seated, it was 7:32. We were one of the first ones through the entrance; one of the first five to be seated. Our stomachs grumbled in anticipation for the amazing food we were expecting. However, we watched as couples who arrived half an hour after us ate their desserts and left. Meanwhile, all that arrived was our bread. Only after reminding the waiter that we existed a couple times, we finally got our culinary treat at 8:49, an hour and twenty minutes after we arrived. Even with our expectations severely degraded, the food was amazing. The tagliatelle de la casa was amazing, as well as the merluza negra. In the end, we left the restaurant at 9:10, a long time after we arrived. I would strongly avoid coming to this restaurant if you have any plans within two hours of when you...
Read moreOverall, not worth the hype.
There was consistently a long line, so we thought it was a must-try.
We waited in line about 15 minutes, which was not as long as we expected.
Once we were seated, we waited another 10-15 for someone to come by and check in with us. Thankfully there was some live music for a few minutes to keep us entertained.
Food: even though they are known for seafood, we ended up ordering grilled chicken, peppered steak, and king crab sorrentino because the prices for seafood were significantly higher than other spots in town.
The food was decent and portions were large.
The star of our meal was the calafate and crema ice cream sundae we had for dessert.
Atmosphere: busy and feels crowded/small. The live music was nice, but they only played a couple of songs and then left.
Service: slow to start, got better as our...
Read moreCame here for both dinner and lunch. For dinner, either make a reservation or be in line/queue the half hour before they open to get a table or else you'll be for the tables to finish their dinner. Lunch (around 13.30) didn't have a wait time. The king crab rice had tons of crab in it. The king crab stew had a lot of other seafood (delicious) with less crab than expected and a little sand at the bottom. The salmon filled pasta with shrimp was great as well. I didn't know lobster empanadas existed so that was a change of pace and fun to try. The inside decor was fun to look around. No Wi-Fi which is fine. Also, this place has cambio/exchange - a higher rate for the first hundred dollars that you pay your bill with and a slightly lower rate for additional exchange - still a better rate than anything we found in...
