Vegan Island — Restaurant in Ushuaia

Lovely 100% vegan place in downtown Ushuaia just 25 meters off the main shoping road. Currently (Jan 2023) only take-away, likely due to Covid-restrictions as space for tables is available. Great choice of wraps and sandwiches (we had the Wrap Acigami and the Mila Pipo, which were both excellent - the chickpea-peanut butter cheese on the latter alone is worth the visit), but also lots of pastries and cakes. In addition, you get juices, the delicious local craft beer Oshovia, water, frozen vegan food, and the place also features a little shop. We went there after our cruise and came back every day while staying in Ushuaia. Sure, the signs saying you can't stay for long felt a bit intimidating at first, but it was no problem eating in house, several other people were having lunch as well. All the staff were super nice and suggested their favorite dishes...I had the Completo sandwich with tofu which was so good I had it three days in a row. Oh, also the music played in there was really good....

I never thought I would find the best croissant and focaccia at "the end of the world." Isla Vegana's flavors kept me coming back during my short stay. All their goods, be it savory or sweet, are baked and crafted with a passion and care that can be tasted. Their "complete" versions of their baked goods are unequaled, the vegetables, tofu, and seasonings will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this place to everyone, vegans and...
