Dont't usually write reviews...Rang Ambrosini's Restaurant on Valentines Day, fairly late, but young girl on 'phone booked us in for 2 at 8.30pm.Turned up on time and was greeted at door by ? the owner..polite..table was'nt ready so showed us to the Bar (hoping we would buy drinks I assume). Not a big place, quite intimate, but of course busy, being Valentines Day.Given menu's (which seemed different to the main menu we looked at online...less choice's.).Waited about 20 mins before asked for our order.Said we wanted just a main meal.We chose and order was taken.Waitress nice.Another 20 mins ellapsed and the same waitress came up to us and said they were doing a set menu for that night $90 per person (entree, main and dessert.) She apologised the girl on the phone, when we booked, did't tell us.We said we just wanted main meal..the waitress said she would ask boss. She returned about 15mins later (I think she had forgotten us) and said that the boss was ok with just the main meals. We waited and waited and waited for our meal..was given wrong order initially then waited 1 and a half hours in all to get our meal. What arrived was 2 pieces of porterhouse in watered gravy for me and a strange looking duck meal for the other person. We went thru 2 bottles of sparkling water..the only fluid we had. They were supposed to close at 9.30PM...We didnt get our meals till 9.45pm..1 young waiter was giving out wrong meals..another older guy..who looked a bit out of place..loved slamming drawers next to our table another waitress kept dropping plates back from tables..We paid the bill..$106.37 (includes a surcharge)...and left disgusted..I know it was Valentines Day but if the place is busy they should be able to cope..better staff..better service happy customer...Because its Magill Rd and has 5 star reviews (one of the reasons we chose this place)..I certainly would NOT give this 5 stars.I say it as I see it..Visited many other places...not very many would get 1...

This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in town👍. Nice and enthusiastic Italian staffs, lovely ambience offered great vibes, awesome foods which were absolutely delicious 😋

The prices were reasonable, though not cheap, but still good for special occasions. For sure, it is also good if you just want to have good foods, to reward yourself for hard work or thank your loved ones.

The way they cooked seafood pasta was quite different from most other Italian restaurants (on my experiences). The pasta came with quite a big bowl of tomato fish broth, and with very fresh seafoods, which was absolutely delicious.

The beef steak was a Porterhouse, which tasted good and in reasonable soft texture. The butter sauce was amazing and it improved the overall satisfaction of the Porterhouse steak to another level. There was a small plate of veggies that came with the steak, so $48 was really a good deal.

My only little disappointment was the dessert tiramisu that was quite average, and I would expect it could be better.

The air-conditioning was well provided. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was fantastic, particularly this is well observed in their toilet which made me feel relaxed, warm and comfortable.

Thank you, Paul and your team. Well done, mate. I will definitely re-visit again and...

I have heard good comments about Ambrosini's restaurant, and was looking forward to dining here. The menu and meals are fantastic, great flavors and textures, some of the best I have experienced. Restaurant is spotless, restroom spotless and modern. Staff are professional. The atmosphere is very poor! Ambrosini's was very noisy when I dined there with friends, this is not just my opinion, my dining companions felt the same! This is borne out by the number of times having to repeatedly repeat the general discussions between ourselves. This is a poor atmosphere for a restaurant trying to be a high class establishment, it is unfortunate, as there are methods of greatly reducing this problem. If a fraction of the effort being placed in the quality of the menu items was utilized in sound mitigation then they may have produced a great dining experience, sadly no, this is not a great experience - not when intimate discussions are having to be repeated. To repeat a portion of your discussion, you loose the point and the reasoning for the discussion. The dining experience sadly then becomes a chore, not a wonderful experience! Even the staff had trouble with receiving our...

We were greeted with smiles upon entry, the restaurant has a contemporary look with soft lighting and candle lit tables. Could not fault the service, aside from trainee staff learning hick-ups but it gave us all something to laugh about together for the night. The northern Italian dishes we had were rich in flavours, the drinks were fabulous, I love that the pretty butter complimented the warm side rolls. Although the potato gnocchi melted in your mouth, it needed slightly more pinch of salt so did the stracciatella, the veal was perfectly tender, the ragĂč was perfectly cooked, and the oysters were fresh. The house made desserts were good and coffee came with complimentary Biscotti di Meliga. Definitely had a fine dining experience. The rest rooms could do with a revamp to suit with the rest of the decor. Street Parking can be a little challenging

My first visit but dining with 4 women who enjoy this restaurant for birthday celebrations. We had a round table for 8 which was great for conversations. Service was good but a little stretched as the restaurant filled. Wine prices were a bit higher than expected for the the wines we chose. The mains specials were attractive and 2 women chose the barramundi they usually order. I enjoyed my veal rib steak - grilled to my spec. The share veg dishes were ordinary. Warm and convivial atmosphere regulars obviously enjoy
