I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience with hospitality at your establishment. It is particularly surprising given the cultural emphasis on warmth and service in the Adidi Devo Bhava philosophy.
I made a reservation for a party of six at 9:30 PM and confirmed with the staff that our booking was in order and that the necessary arrangements were available due to late booking .
Upon arriving at the restaurant at 9:40 PM, A staff member approached us but did not offer any greeting. When I mentioned my reservation, her response was that we needed to place our food order within five minutes due to the restaurant's closing time. I reminded her that our late arrival had been communicated earlier and requested a few additional minutes to finalize our order. Unfortunately, her tone suggested that we were being reprimanded for our tardiness. Feeling the encounter was unprofessional, she said you are 15 minutes late so i have to order in 5 minutes *That what I said * I chose not to engage further and walked off without saying anything . ( technically I was 10 minutes late only )
I feel it is important to share this feedback, as the restaurant industry thrives on customer service and positive interactions. A warm greeting upon arrival would create a more inviting atmosphere, and conveying the need to order quickly can certainly be addressed in a more courteous manner.
Staff has to smile ,I felt my family is creating a trouble there or that’s what the attitude I felt ,I definitely believe there were a lot time to accommodate us very well however the staff remained not interested. No one even asked why are you leaving when walked away which definitely reveals the standard of the restaurant.
Anyways just sharing this if this could help the business investors to look up at it specially it’s a hospitality business where service plays a role...

A dinner at Beyond India is an unforgettable experience, not to be missed. It’s a beautiful restaurant, the food is fantastic, and you’ll be thinking about it long after the meal is over.
We started with the Date & Almond Naan, which was sweet and delicious.
The Butter Chicken, known in some places as Makhni, was tender, moist pieces of dark meat chicken, smothered in a delicious sauce with tomatoes, honey, cardamom, and what I’m assuming was a pound of laxatives.
The Three Greens Saag was wonderful, and not loaded with butter or cream – just fresh and delicious kale, spinach and mustard greens. Hearty, bold and certainly capable of demolishing even the stiffest constipation.
White dude working the tandoors: you go, sir. The Tandoori Prawns were cooked beautifully, seasoned to perfection, and tore through me with the awesome fury of the horsemen of the apocalypse. Bravo.
The Duck Biryani, a special not on the menu. I would say, is not worth it. It’s two cups of rice and a duck thigh, and we were surprised to discover later that it cost $28. My wife thought it was going to be around $8. My sense of remorse doubled this morning as it ripped its way out of me in a raging fiery whirlwind of poopy terror,
The meal was delectable, exotic, and incinerated everything in my intestines. My morning was an unforgettable thrill ride.
The exotic flavours and aromas of India came flooding back to me as I literally peed out of my butt.
4 stars for the truly delicious food and unimpeachable service, minus one star for expensive biryani, and for turning me into a human...
Read moreOur family has been going regularly to Beyond India for 15 years. We remember dining there when it was across the road in its former location. We keep coming back because the food is great. There is also an abundance of great vegetarian options. Unfortunately, the food may be great but the service is not. Staff seem so busy rushing around that there is no time for friendly conversation or even a warm look. The manager doesn't seem to care for any sort of customer service either. One time my wife who was 30 weeks pregnant at the time asked for a fruit mocktail but received a cocktail. As the manager walked past we mentioned we in fact ordered a mocktail and his response was, "oh" and then walked off and didn't return or address the mistake. Another time we were celebrating a birthday. We booked our table exactly 7 days before the booking and asked for a table large enough to fit a pram. When we arrived they put our family including our 1 month old baby on a small table directly in front of the automatic door on a freezing cold night and the whole time we could feel a strong cold breeze as the door opened and closed on a busy Saturday night. I asked the manager if we could move to one of the other free tables and why this was the best they good do for someone who booked a week in advance. His response was, "no... next time when you book ask for a specific table." I could tell you about the staples a family member found in their food and other discomforting experiences, however, what truly disappoints is their lack of concern...
