The worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. My partner and I ordered the corn and wings for entrees and the chicken enchilada and 2 chicken tacos and a beef brisket taco for mains. Coke for the drink. While waiting I went to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper or hand soap available, I had to resort to using the paper towels left on the baby changing table.. Onto the food. The coke was flat and the wings were described as crispy on the menu and they came out clearly microwaved and very mushy. When ordering the tacos I referred to them as the Pollo and Ternera tacos as described on the menu and the waiter had no clue what I was talking about so I needed to confirm I meant the chicken and beef tacos. They came out and we got 2 tacos that tasted like fish to which my partner then suspected it was a fish finger when she tried it and the beef taco had guacamole on it which wasn't stated on the menu. The enchilada was a completely soggy mess and you couldn't tell what you were eating. The chicken tasted disgusting and noticeably low quality and the tortilla was absolutely soaked to the point i didn't even notice there was a tortilla in the meal until I dug around a bit. I literally thought it was a curry when it came out... When we originally complained all the staff huddled together afterwards and very clearly were talking about us making us feel incredibly unwelcome. The server that eventually took our bill was nice and very calm with us, called the owner whom offered us 20% off the bill and a free item voucher for if we were to come back. (We will not be) This felt very transactional rather than actual customer service. Do NOT come here. We ended up having to pay $68 ($82 originally) for everything despite finishing only the corn. We ended up eating again at st Louis down the road.

This is no longer the Lucky Lupitas that we used to know as it has changed hands. The food and ambience is completely different - we had a range of tacos and the Quesadillas with chicken. The dishes were cold, less vibrant, and also missing many elements stated on their menu. The fish on the Barra taco was nicely fried but slightly overcooked and missing corriander; the lamb and beef tacos had overly cooked proteins and were dry and the pork taco was the saddest looking - there were 3 small overly fried pieces of chewy pork on the taco. All the tacos had spring onions though, when only the Barra and lamb tacos should have them? I also got a huge chunk of gristle in the lamb taco. The quesadillas also needed some salt (we asked for some and was given Coles branded S&P grinders) and was missing the jalapeno and pinto beans. The seating in the restaurant has also become very packed and cramped. There was still some Mexican vibe, but I reckon it wouldn't be very pleasent dining there when it's full. Overall its sad to see what the restaurant has become after many years of serving glorious food. Unfortunately I wouldn't be returning anytime soon, not until there's new of some sort of turn around..

Dinner at @luckylupitasadl! They've been closed for ages since covid started last year, and we're very glad that they're back open! It's not the most authentic Mexican food, but it tastes good ☺️. . Chicken wings: can't go wrong with these! Crunchy and delicious 🤤. . Guacamole with corn chips: again, can't really go wrong with them. Always tasty. Although the portion could have been bigger 😅. . Salt and pepper squid: nicely done. Lightly battered and tasty! . A selection of tacos: all were delicious! I especially loved the prawn taco and the fish taco 🤤. . Prawn fajitas: super tasty dish! Prawns were super tender and yummy 🤤🤤. . Pork ribs: this is the only dish that was a bit disappointing. The ribs were not tender enough. It was hard to get the meat off of the bone. It should be falling off. The flavour was good at least.

I debated with myself as to whether or not to post this review as I really don't like slamming restaurants online especially in current times. HOWEVER this really needs to be said.

We recently visited here. When we went to order I asked what on the menu was gluten free, I was told everything except two items. With this in mind our table to go with the 'feed me' option but confirmed with the staff again TWICE that having the feed me gluten free was possible. We were told it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Not only did the food take over an hour to come out (granted it was an incredibly busy evening with every table full and people crammed into the waiting area too) but as the second dish of tacos came out I became incredibly sceptical about whether the food was indeed gluten free. I had already eaten the battered chicken wings.

Tacos/tortillas are reasonably easy to distinguish as gluten free (I'm well aware that gluten makes things more delicious) so as I took two bites I was quite confident the dish wasn't gluten free- even though there had been no mention of this. When the third dish came out with the same tortillas I decided to double check and was told that no these were not gluten free. It left me sceptical about every other dish we were served on the evening and what I had consumed before.

While I get it, making things gluten free can be annoying and some view it as a dietary fad or simple preference, it is a medical intolerance and can make people incredibly sick. As it did for me for the next 24 hours. I brought up my intolerance 4 times in total and was told each time that the dishes would suit me. Yes, it was a busy night and we had several waiters to the table but this should be communicated amongst staff.

Two stars because the other guests still enjoyed our...

Extremely disappointing experience. Poor service, overpriced food and small portions ($27 dollars for the ribs and you get 6 individual overcooked ribs). We were shown to our table and couldn’t work out if it was table service or if we needed to go up and order as this was not mentioned. When the waitress finally came over, she asked if we would like sparkling water to which we said yes. About 15 minutes later she came back to take our order (still no water to our table). When she delivered our drinks I told her not to worry about the water now as we had other drinks. Everyone’s meals came out at different times and we had to ask them to take the empty plates each time they bought one of the meals over. The only time we seen the staff at our table was to deliver our food, no one asked if would like another drink or how our meals were. As we couldn’t get drink service we decided to pay and go somewhere else. We lined up for 10-15 minutes and when I got to the front I was asked to "wait 2 minutes" and he started to take payment from someone who was not in line. He then went to take someone else’s payment who was also not in the line to pay and when I asked why he wasn’t taking my payment he stated “you don’t understand”. I told him it was the most disappointing experience and poorest service I’ve ever received and he again told me again “you don’t understand”. I was so upset that I left my husband to wait and pay with our friends while I waited outside. I seen a couple in the line just walk out without paying and I honestly don’t blame them. The staff member continued to take payments from others not in the line (a large table that was splitting the bill) and made my husband wait. We have never had to wait that long to pay for a meal. Approx. 30 minutes to pay is an absolute...
