The last time I visited this restaurant was in December and the food was pretty good at that time. It was for real the best Thai food in Adelaide. However, I went back today, expecting it to be the same quality as last time. The tom yum was really salty and wasn’t sour and spicy at all, like the authentic tom yum that we had before. The satay chicken was also reallllyy salty. The green curry chicken flavour was nice but the chicken was so over cooked. The pineapple fried rice was really wet, not dried enough for a fried rice. The only good foods were the fish cakes, cashew nuts soft shell crab and the Thai milk tea. The staff were really really nice though. They were really friendly, opened the door for us and calculated the bill for us twice just to make sure! I hope they improve next time! ☺️

Drove here for 30 mins to eat the food as reviews were good. However, I had no reservation so was offered to sit outside (in this cold weather) I looked around and said there are more than 10 tables empty. Can you please let us sit in? The lady was like no they’re booked out. However, the tables were still empty later. So I decided to go to the viet Restaurnt next door. Just walked passed 1 hour later and the tables are still empty. Wish the owner realises it’s not a good marketing strategy to reject walk ins to sit inside and then sit outside in cold weather to show off the Restaurant. I’m never coming back here again. Thanks

First time eating Thai food in Adelaide. The portion of the food is huge and rich. The dishes is well worth the money. And the ingredient are fresh. However, the food taste too mild for Thai food. Not spicy and not sour enough. A tad too sweet too. We had the green curry chicken. This is the best of the three dishes we ordered. The Tom Yam soup could be more authentic Thai. The pineapple fried rice was without the raisin, pork floss and the peanuts. Think it will be more authentic with those. Overall, it’s a pleasant dining experience.

Went to Krung Thep for a couple of times had no issues. However, last night my partner and I went there again ordered two meals Pad Thai and Drunken noodle. First, we waited for 35 minutes still haven't receive our meals, anyways, I was trying to be understandable and waited a bit longer before I asked the waitress. After we saw the group 5 received all of their meals before us. I politely asked the waitress can you please check if our orders are coming. She said ok sure but never came back to inform us! So after waited about another 10 mins the other waitress came and told us sorry the kitchen missed our order and that they will do it straight way. But it wasn't straight away we had to wait for at least another 25mins. Overall we waited for 1 hour just for TWO meals. When we went to the check out to pay for our bill, I was expecting them to give us at least our sparkling water or a small discount as we were unhappy and that it was their fault. Will never return...

We didn't have any concrete plans at that time. We just happen to pass by and were lucky to stop and get into this restaurant. Positive - THE FOOD was fantastic! I've eaten in many Thai restaurants in Adelaide before, I even travelled to Thailand and sampled many of their cuisines. It was such a fabulous surprise that we have this Thai restaurant here in Adelaide. The food tasted authentic yet unique compared to those who claim to serve "authentic Thai" food, with clean, unassuming flavours and simply delicious. Equally so the food was visually appealing with good portion sizes. The staff were polite, courteous, very good at anticipating our needs we didn't even have to call their attention. Clean, spacious area enough room to move around even when it was packed. A small consideration is needed to find parking which goes true to every restaurant on the same street. We will be...

Krung thep Thai Restaurant is a true culinary gem! I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and I must say, it left an indelible impression.

The food is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish bursts with authentic Thai flavors that transport you to the heart of Thailand. The Pad Thai, in particular, was a revelation – perfectly balanced and full of aromatic spices. The extensive menu caters to all preferences, and every item we ordered was a testament to the chef's skill and commitment to quality ingredients.

The ambiance at Krung thep Thai Restaurant is welcoming and cozy, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. The staff is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu is impressive, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations tailored...
