Clio Café — Restaurant in Adelaide

Not the best cafe in then by a long shot. Coffee was terrible, service was non-existant and being "halal" was not widely advertised until you go to order and see a certificate. No up front warning that, even though we found the place when searching "AUSSIE breakfast", they don't have bacon.

No issues with venues being halal, but this should be front and centre on any menu or website to avoid being seated and then finding out. And to be honest had the staff been polite and service good we would not be complaining. The server behind the counter seemed very disinterested in being there and made us feel like we didn't want to be there either.

We had a toddler with us who was specifically after bacon, so this made our morning a horror.

Please put halal on top of your menus and website in future.

Edit: thanks for the response. As stated, halal wasnt the problem in total, but became one when the rest of our experience was less than satisfactory. The dirty chai was good, but the latte and cap were underwhelming at best. Whilst scrambled eggs are good "wet", these ones were actually soggy, not just moist and this adds to our review...

This place is an amazing place to come stop for food and coffee, I honestly was having the best café experience I have had in a long time. Unfortunately a lingering security guard from the food court who seemed to dislike my presence by consistently staring at me. I Loved the food and coffee but was disappointed by this security guard who made me feel not welcome. He also went up to one of the café employees and asked if I had ordered with him. He presumably said yes and then left. I will return but next time aim to make it clear I'm here to eat. I also watched him kick someone else out for just sitting there. To note: I have nothing wrong with this café its just placed in the most posh food court in Adelaide where the employees think its ok to harsh people for just going about their business. May I reiterated my problem is not with the café and they should keep doing...

I feel it was Expensive for what you got and not value for money in my opinion . Understand it’s in the city. We Ordered eggs Benedict with salmon with portobello mushroom It Came with a salad on the side which seemed strange , for a breakfast item . it made all the plate wet with the dressing . A combination of the dressing of the salad , sauce and mushroom juice just didn’t sit well and then the egg as well :( . No bacon or hash browns on the menu . It Cost us $55 with a coffee .for two of these . I Felt I’d of been better off just getting a cake (I will next time ) as they...
