First time returning after 5+ years. Was busy and noisy. The closed of car exhibition down closed off Gouger Street didn't help. Duck Bao was tasty. Other guests enjoyed their wontons and dumplings. Main meals were plentiful and fresh and tasty. Food was great quality. Do not have an issue wth that.

My main meal, which was a wok tossed meal, so not overly complex, did not come until all other 3 guests finished and a side dish were ordered was not received either. Unsure what the issue was. It seems it was forgotten. We asked multiple times and were told it was busy, but others that arrived after were getting meals. Staff had to be asked and reminded a couple of times. Eventually told will be accommodated for this but was very uncomfortable for others as we could not all enjoy our meals together. Was given complimentary desert but not the others so awkward again as I had a meal and they didn't. Actually, it brought a good evening down. Made one friend quite upset as it was dismissed by staff. When you can only go out rarely these days, it is a shame to have an experience like this. Hopefully, they will learn from this as I would love to try more on the menu but hesitant...

Came here tonight (April 2017) for the first time. Friendly service, although they weren't too encouraging of us sitting outside ("we have a table inside of you like"), they agreed and brought us a table cloth and cutlery. My wine was poured under the line on the glass, however it was topped up at my request. The starters (prawn and pork wontons and pork belly) were amazing and we cleared our plates. My friends' main (beef curry with potatoes) was "very good" and also gluten free (they have a menu highlighted with vegetarian and gluten free dishes if you ask). My main (pork belly with dark soy) was good but I am not a fan of soft fat on pork belly - I would much prefer it as crackling. That being said, our waiter and waitress were both very attentive and friendly, the food came quickly and to top it off we noticed a St Vincent's van pull up and four huge cartons of hot food being loaded into it (this was around 6.45pm on a Tuesday night). We suspected that the food was from the restaurant for homeless people and the waiter confirmed as much. Any restaurant that helps to feed the homeless on a weekly basis will definitely be getting my loyal custom...

Top notch modern asian cuisine that represents some of Adelaide's top produce. Great balance of traditional Chinese spiced to open your pallet to fantastic flavours. We tried the Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese style pickled vegetables and Crunchy Soft Shell Crab and spicy green apple salad for entree. Perfect balance of flavours. We ordered the Pikes Riesling which is a favorite of mine to have with a spicy dish, but at $52 a pop on the menu when it retails for $25 on a bad day at the local bottle shop, and being a local drop, its a little bit of a stretch just on mark-up. For mains we ordered Angus beef curry with potato & peanut (massaman curry) which was very flavorful but the beef was a little tough which was a little unusual for Concubine. Along with the beef we ordered prawn chilli stir fry which was perfect, fresh and full of flavour. Overall a great experience. Wait staff are so lovely and build a great rapport with the customer. I love the wall paper and decor. Definitely the best pick on Gouger St. Thanks for a...

This place has been long awaiting on our list of places we wanted to try. The quality of food is very high, ingredients and products used are of fantastic quality. My favourite dish was the beef cheek, perfectly braised and melting in the mouth and very gelatinous the way I expected it to be. The salt and pepper squid had a nice sweet and sour dressing drizzle over it although i could enjoy the squids a bit more crispy with the dressing only in the salad and not so much on the squids. The other dishes sounded very appealing and would love the come back to try them out too. Ill get straight to the highlight of the evening and that was Carmen the wait staff. She explained all the specials to us, gave us enough time to settle in and made some great recommendations and came and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. She served us with a smile through the evening. Great place and would definitely go back.

This Chinese fusion restaurant is an absolute gem! I love the stuffed eggplant with minced prawn! I like the creamy texture of that. And the squids are delicious, too. Every dish is beautifully presented, with a depth of flavor that keeps you wanting more. Therefore, I went with my family again at Christmas. This time, I tried the pad thai and tossed wok black pepper beef(it’s the special menu) is perfectly tender with a rich, savory sauce that’s simply irresistible. This fusion of asian recipes with modern twists elevates the dining experience to another level. The service is attentive, the waiting staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Love the design of the restaurant, esp the Shanghai Room upstairs. I definitely will visit it soon! A must-visit in Adelaideā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

A delightful experience - we arrived on a Tuesday evening to a restaurant buzzing with laughter and people enjoying a good night out. Ushered to our table and promptly served with menus - the service was warm and friendly (Jenifer and Cecil made us feel at home). The restaurant is nicely decorated and has an upmarket feel and prices were real sable. The food was delicious and authentic - serve portions were fine and each dish was meant to be shared family style. The lamb ribs and the pork belly were standouts! The wine menu had enough variety and overall we had a great evening. Keep up the good work! Reservations definitely recommended. We’ll definitely be back when ever we visit Adelaide!
