The Cumberland Arms Hotel — or “The Cumby” as the locals call it — is a lively pub that perfectly captures Adelaide’s laid-back vibe. It’s a great mix of old-school charm and modern energy, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to suit your mood.
The beer garden is a standout feature, with string lights, plenty of greenery, and communal tables that encourage socializing. Inside, the pub has a more traditional feel, with wooden bar tops, comfy booths, and a buzzing atmosphere.
The drinks selection is excellent, with local beers, wines, and a well-stocked bar for cocktails. The bartenders are friendly and fast, even when the place is packed. They also have happy hour deals and themed nights, which add to the fun.
The food is solid pub fare with generous portions and plenty of variety. The burgers are stacked and flavorful, the schnitzels are crispy, and the share plates are perfect for grazing over drinks.
Whether you’re watching the footy, catching live music, or just hanging out with friends, The Cumby delivers every time. It’s a true neighborhood pub where you’ll feel like a regular, even on your...
Read moreCame in tonight for abit of a nice catch up with my friend so we could grab a parmy and some beers. I was served a kill patrick parmy that tasted completely off. It tasted like it had just been removed from the freezer and banged in a microwave, I didn’t even finish half of it. I was curious to see if it was just my taste buds but it wasn’t my friend also said there was a distinct off and tangy taste to his plain schnitzel. Not ideal guys. I’ve been coming to the Cumby for food for over 7 years now, before it even had a nice beer garden. I’ve sadly in that time watched the food quality gradually get worse and worse to now the unfortunate time has come where I doubt I’ll be back. I doubt the people running this venue care about this review as I know the place is a popular drinking venue but if I can inform others that their food prices aren’t worth it then I’ve done what I wanted to do.
On a side note the...
Read moreOrdered the brie and beef burger only to cut into it and the patty was undercooked, clear red chunks of mince. Asked for a new one that was cooked, got the exact same thing the second time. When I asked, they advised "that's how it's cooked" despite no notes on the menu line to state the mince patty is cooked medium rare. Never ever had a patty come out like that ever. Patties are always fully cooked unless the patron asks. Finally said I was not keen on a half cooked patty, and frankly very put off by it. So they offered to swap my meal. Ended up getting the chicken parmi. So after being there an hour I finally had food, while the rest of the table had finished eating. It was fine, nothing amazing. Decent size, they put it on top of the chips (which everyone hates btw). And gave a massive amount of slaw with chunks of onion in it (gross).
Disappointing experience. Staff were amazing...
