Dulwich Bakery — Restaurant in Adelaide

Pros : Great sausage roll Great Coffee Easy parking and walking distance to beautiful beach Wise price Great full food display with attractive and mouth watering dessert and savoury dishes

Cons : Bad customer service, greeting the customer and if not trying to rush customer to make an order would be great (there is no customer other than 3 of us) The chocolate muffins so dry and crumbling like cookies. I choose the fresh chocolate muffin in the display and when I want to pay my order, the staff give the one which sit on the counter bench wrapped with plastic. Customer service can be improved, for a cafe which not serve dine in serving (plate, spoon, knife mugs or glasses- all being served in take away cup and paper bag) there appears to be extra staff there which would be great if some of them can clean or wipe the table. Got our order, the 3 of us wondering where to sit coz all the tables and chairs dirty, after 5 minutes, one of the staff came and wiped the table, absolutely soaking wet like she had washed the table. We ended up sitting outside.

Ewww, product sit in those cabinets for days. We walk past regularly at night and always see left overs just sitting there ready for sale the next day, so much for freshly prepared bakery items. May as well go to Coles for the same quality at half the price!

Anyway, a friend dropped over and insisted we go to the Bakery for lunch, i obliged and what a mistake, the food is average at best. Pies, forget about it, may as well had a Balfours!!!

If you want an authentic bakery product, go a few hundred metres up the road to 'Bakers of Henley', opposite the IGA at the pedestrian crossing, they bake everything fresh daily and it tastes just as one would expect from a genuine bakery.

The shop isn't fancy looking, but, the food is many, many times better...

Came in this morning around 9am one girl serving at the counter was lovely, looked a bit under pressure but made a beautiful coffee. The place was filthy, Crumbs all over the tables, floor looked like it hasn’t been moped in a while and also looked understaffed? The lady with curly dark hair looked pretty agitated and seemed to be getting a bit on edge with the girl serving, could be a long shot but maybe she could have been helping the poor girl serve as there was quit a few customers waiting instead of doing other things which could have waited, it wasn’t really a good look. Overall coffee was nice but would be better if management stepped in and got things under control as no one wants to stand around waiting 10 minutes...
