Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars was because the massaman sauce was tasty, other than that our experience was below average, we made our booking through the fork which gave us 30% off our bill, we were seated and ordered drinks first, the coke 0 we ordered was flat and asked the server if the pump needed changing she said it was from a can she would get another. The second coke was just as flat so we asked if she could bring the can over to us so we could see the expiry date when she went to get the can she checked the date her self and laughed and came over and said yeah it’s expired but wouldn’t give us the can to see how far past exp it was. Not off the best start but we were still hopeful the food would be a hit. We started with the entree platter and a serve of Satay chicken. The chicken was raw, still bleeding pink I would upload a photo if I could, she apologised to us and went onto our mains, it was all below average nothing I wouldn’t go back. the beef from the massaman was over cooked and dry but the sauce had potential we ordered 5 different dishes and nothing amazed us just your average Thai food nothing I would go back for. When we went to go pay and we let her know we booked on the fork for 30% off she was happy to put that thro and said she would give us another $30 discount for the raw chicken incident. After checking the bill she over charged us so we went to confirm with her and she said “we’ll I can fix the bill but I’m not longer giving you your discount for the raw chicken” we never asked for discount taking it off the bill would have been enough for us but she gave us the discount then took it away as if the raw chicken was our fault? Over all won’t be back below average food waited an extended amount of time for out food and nothing was really worth the wait. Much better Thai...
Read moreWe were a table of 9. It took an hour for mains to come out after ordering. We did receive entrees during this time. 3 peoples mains came out, then another 3 and the other 3 had to wait about 10 minutes after that for a meal to be bought out wrong and they had to wait another 10 minutes on top of that. They practically ate by themselves.
The chicken satay was decent, the crispy tofu was in sweet chilli sauce and the curry puffs weren’t great either.
Food was okay, sauces were extremely rich that you couldn’t eat much of it. The crispy chicken wasn’t crispy. The curry was a little watery and not a thick nice curry. The pad Thai was very rich also.
When it got time to paying the bill, they said we couldn’t pay cash and then card even though there is no signs saying no split bills. They wanted one person to pay our bill of $450 which is ridiculous but after the average food received, no one was going to argue.
The toilets lead to some really dodgy carpark and they’re not nice.
Wouldn’t recommend, average food. Probably...
Read moreOnce again I had a delightful meal @ hypnothaized! This time I tried the fried tofu entree which was a generous serve and came with a tasty lite salady dressing...DELICIOUS!! ...I will definitely have it again !!
For my main I chose my old favourite Chicken Choo chi Curry...which was excellent as always!! The veggies were superfresh and just the right amount of crunch!...served with YUMMY chicken in a devine curry coconut sauce. I also really appreciate the lovely efficient and friendly staff here who were so happy to recommend various dishes. My friend also enjoyed tasting my tofu and loved her chicken satay and rice. Definitely my favourite local!.
