Headquarters on Henley — Restaurant in Adelaide

We thought we would head to Henley Beach today for something a bit different to our usual routine (we live on other side of town). We found the cafe and staff to be upbeat, customer focused and engaging.

The service was helpful and with plenty of personality, where you can tell the owner (Tony) cares about the experience every customer receives. The staff are friendly and I believe some are family members.

When my cappuccino arrived it actually drew my attention, as the coffee art was so impressive. I don't normally notice the patterns on the froth but the attention to detail was evident. When combined with the delicious aroma and taste of the coffee, I was sold.

Our meals came out quickly with the coffees and the presentation of my Eggs Bennie with added mushrooms was also impressive. Eggs Bennie is something we pretty much all know how it should usually look. Once again, I don't normally get caught up in the fine details of my brunch meal but the presentation today was enticing.

The taste of my meal was awesome. I could tell there was some 'twists' with the ingredients and Tony shared some of his secrets. The entire meal was enjoyable, but the mushrooms stood out for me. I enjoy interacting with passionate staff and business owners that become part of our dining experience. Well done Headquarters on Henley team for delivering on your strong reputation.

I could actually write 2 pages worth of a review that is how much HQ has impressed us over the last nearly 2 years!

Keeping it more brief than 2 pages … let’s just say HQ is on the itinerary of EVERY visitor we have to Adelaide… really. It is because we can count on the coffee, food, pet friendly atmosphere (outdoors), and of course the genuinely friendly service.

The difference with HQ is Tony and Jane run their family cafe with more intention than most people running cafes can be bothered with. It’s the little homemade treat on the side of every coffee, it’s the purified table water, it’s the device chargers inside the cafe, it’s the dog parking latches outside, and it’s so much more than that which has been thought about to make a HQ visit always worthwhile!

It’s obvious Tony and Jane have put their love, sweat and tears into doing their best to feed hungry guests who want to eat delicious freshly made food in a friendly atmosphere. (thank you, thank you!!)

It is easy to tell in just one visit to HQ (for new guests) why this cafe is special. That happened to me… and literally now HQ is a weekly visit, at least, if not twice a week plus our dogs love that they are welcomed with a special treat too!

We absolutely LOVE Headquarters on Henley. We travelled here a couple of years ago, had brunch here...LOVED it. The food is DELICIOUS. Tony and Jane were so lovely and friendly. We ordered the famous Jane's famous 🧀 scone. It was so delicious and unique. Jane was so kind to teach us patiently (and proudly) how to eat them properly. 🥰 We thought if we could move closer to here, that would be great.

You never know... We relocated to South Australia, and we can come to Headquarters as often as we want. 😍 If you want something homemade, heartwarming, super tasty, unique, and delicious, Headquarters is perfect. They never disappoint. I don't personally like cooked fruits, but i absolutely LOVE the pancakes. One of the best!!!! The burrito 🌯 is YUMMMMM. Tony and Jane are always so kind and nice.
